<Tarleo's P.O.V>
Finally was the time of war. I will defeat these damned Americans and head towards the White House (If y'all didn't know, this is taking place in Washington). There I will give my final request to the President as I shot his head off myself. I have no doubts that Kitty is dead, even if she did manage to live being shot in the leg and bleed out because her bones didn't have time to regenerate her blood supply, she won't dare show her face here. She'll need time unless she's stupid enough. Besides, there's another battle happening around where the secret dungeons were, so she would most likely be searching for me there. Besides, I need people to believe she's dead, or I'll never be promoted to a leader ever. Then I will have to kill that stupid Democrat myself, just like the President of the United Stated of America. In any case- "General!" I snapped back into reality.
"What's so important you had to interrupt my thoughts?" I snapped.
"T-There were sightings of three figures upon the cliff!" I growled. He shrunk back from me.
"Well, don't tell me this stupid information when you should go atta-" I was interrupted by a roar that came upon the cliff. A dragon's roar. "Damn it all." I sneered as I turned to look what in god's name summoned upon this interruption. A golden star from what I saw, fell from the cliff. Just as it was about to hit the ground, it grew big, glowing blue wings. I squinted my eyes to see it clearly. Kitty. She had golden hair and, just like in the dungeon, she had one golden eye from where her scarred eye was. Her arms and legs were consumed in darkness. Her sword lay behind her, where her blue wings connected. She was a dragon.
<Afalia's P.O.V>
I glared out to all the faces that watched me. I looked down to see I had black arms and legs with blue, frosty wings that glowed with warmth. The hair on my shoulders was blonde. And, darkness that consumed a side of my vision was now as clear as day. With the eye, I saw warmth temperature you see on a diagram. Now I can see anything alive. "You're supposed to be dead!" Tarleo growled. He stared in sick and hatred at me. Everyone around him who I had just heard say that he killed me looked around in confusion. First at Tarleo, than at me. Over and over again. I opened my mouth, with the corners of my mouth lifted in a wide smile.
"Hear me, mortals. I am Afalia, the Dragon Tamer of America. The Enemy General you see there is a fraud. He claims to have killed me, but here I am to stand before you." My voice was a deep growl instead of the high voice I usually speak with.
"Afalia? Then was Kitty a fake?" The lieutenant in the American side said.
"I'm one of the same. But I'm not here to answer your questions, mortal. I'm here to fight!"
"Then, please, help us!" The messenger for the US said, pleading. I watched him. He was younger than me. Smaller. Why put a child this young through war? I growled with disgust.
"I'm chained by no sides. I might come from America, but for right now, you both are my enemies," I glared back at Tarleo, who showed no more than hatred now as it flared in his eyes. I smirked, "I'm here for only one person. And that's you. Tarleo." I raised my wings to a straight line with curves to the top, reaching for the opposite side of each other. It lowered be down the ground. Once my feet reached the ground and everyone's eyes were caught on me, I pulled back my wings to lay on my back and drag on the ground. With my darkness dipped feet, I walked towards the center. I faced the military and watched the tiny messenger scatter to get a better look. After he caught my stare, I smiled a bit. I was like him once. Confused amongst warriors. I turned back towards the Germans and my golden eye glew like fire. Raising my sword to the height of my head, I challenged them. "Come at me. Traitor." He growled. He figured out I was taunting him.
"Charge, you idiots. CHARGE!" Tarleo yelled over the silence and murmurs in the crowd. The German army jumped, grabbed their swords and guns, and charged at me. I nodded as if a signal to attack without daring to look at the Americans. I heard yelling behind me as the army stormed past me, joining swords with the Germans. I lowered my sword. Some got shot in the midst of battle, while they shot back. It was an even battle. A bullet stormed past me, cutting off hair that blocked its path. The hair strands exploded, than was lost in the dust. Memories of when I first went to battle. I closed my eyes. Listening. Waiting. The sounds vanished. Just as fast as the sounds vanished, a yell of dominance was heard, followed by the sounds of battle again. I opened my eyes. Tarleo jumped out from the battle and connected swords with mine. "How dare you return! You and that Traitor to Germany!" He yelled above the sounds.
"Erian was not a traitor! He was never one. He returned from spying on Germany and he should be respected for his bravery for the country." I was a little quieter than Tarleo was, but he had to hear what I had to say. I shoved his sword out of the way. He quickly grabbed his sword in his hidden sword pouch in his coat.
"Such lies! You don't understand a thing! You're just a wanna-be Dragon Tamer, who never had anything better to do than pick fights! I saw your stupid diary and watched you pick on so many fight!" He pushed my sword out of the way, held back his second sword as he kicked me down and recovered his first sword. "You were never something in the beginning, so stop acting like you are now!" He reached to stab me in the chest with his first sword. I closed my eyes. I failed. I heard the sword cutting into flesh, but I felt no pain. I opened one eye wearily to see, before me, was the tiny messenger. He had jumped infringed of me and was stabbed. He fell to the ground. "Oh my god.." I whispered. I felt tears fall down my cheek as his eyes didn't open up. They sat still, lifeless as his chest stopped moving. Dead. I growled.
"Oops." Tarleo shrugged. He didn't care at all that he killed children! Both of my eyes went golden, I turned see through, as clear as glass. Everyone can look through me. My wings grew larger. Half the battle fought as the other half stared in dismay as I transformed.
Into a Dragon.
