Your POV

You wake up with a start, scared out of your wits. Then you blink a few times and the world falls back into focus. Everything seems normal. “Just a bad dream,” you murmur, heading for the shower.

Before you reach the bathroom, someone bangs loudly on your door. You change directions and open the door, still sleepy. Then the sleepiness disappears when you see a familiar masked figure outside.

“Cry... what?” you ask groggily.

He looks at you. You can’t tell what he’s thinking with that mask. “Hi, (Y/N). Nice morning, huh?” Then turns and marches off.

You blink a few more times, then close the door. “Well, that was weird,” you mutter. “I must be dreaming still.” You go back inside.

Cry’s POV

After seeing (Y/N) was okay, I just felt so relieved. Then I realized I had no idea what to say next. So I blurted the first thing that came to mind and left.

I go back to my apartment after that. It’s the one right above hers. I duck inside and collapse on the bed, suddenly too tired to do anything else.

I wake up, but I know I'm dreaming. I'm in my living room, and everything is just slightly off.

"So you're back."

I turn to see that crazy girl behind me, leaning on my couch. She still has that strange familiar look, but I still can't place it. She walks over to me and sticks out her hand. "I should introduce myself. I'm Elizabeth. And you?"

"Cry." I don't shake her hand, so she lets it drop to her side. "You aren't human, are you?"

She grins that slightly insane grin. "No, I'm pure dream. But I definitely exist. Confused?"

I shake my head. "I've dealt with dreams before."

She looks faintly surprised. "Oh?"

"Yes. Now tell me, what did you mean by 'I want to know what happens next'?"

"Hmm... I don't think I'll tell you. Goodbye."

"Wait!" I reach toward her, but the dream is already fading.

I wake up – for real this time. Then I remember, I went downstairs and said hi to (Y/N). Well, shoot. I decide to go down and say hi, this time awake.

Your POV

You shower and dress, then pull out your laptop to check Skype and stuff. Before you can open it, someone knocks on your door. You set the laptop down and go to the entryway.

You’re surprised when you open the door to find Cry standing there. “Hi, (Y/N). Mind if I stop by?”

“No, not really,” you hear yourself reply. “What brings you here?”

“Um... I live in the apartment above you...”

“Oh. Well, come in, sit down.” You wave him inside. Once you’re both settled on the couch, you turn back toward him. “So, how long have you known we were neighbors?”

“Since I moved in a week ago, actually. The building owner pointed you out.”

“Why didn’t you say anything at the game shop?”

“It just... felt kind of awkward.”

You decide to change topics. “So, have you started that game I pointed out?”

You chat about games for a while, and you end up showing him your collection. Not bad for a low budget college student, if you do say so yourself.

“Not much horror,” Cry comments, scanning titles.

“I can’t handle horror when I’m the one playing,” you explain.

His phone starts playing, some song you don’t recognize. “One sec.” He pulls it out and answers. “Hello? ...Oh, hey, Pewds, what’s up? ...What, another one? You know I don’t like those things... Wait, she what? Okay, just a moment.” He pauses and looks up at you. “My friend’s girlfriend bought extra tickets to some amusement park,” he explains. “Some special deal. Are you interested in coming? It’s today, just a warning.”

“Trying to get out of ‘third wheel’ position?” you guess.

He shrugs. “Maybe. Is that a yes?”

You think for a moment, then nod. “I didn’t have any plans, anyway, and any friends of yours must be interesting people.”

He laughs. “I can tell you, they are.” He goes back to his phone. “Do you mind if I bring someone else along? ...A friend. ...You’ll meet her there, okay? We’ll be right over.” He hangs up and turns to you. “Well, let’s go!”

Cry’s POV

We take my car to Pewdie’s house, since (Y/N) doesn’t have one. It’s a short drive, only five minutes or so. I park in the street by a nice little one-story house, walls painted pale blue. I notice that the yard looks cleaner now. They must have done some work on it recently.

Me and (Y/N) climb out and walk up to the door. I ring the doorbell and we stand there for a moment as footsteps approach.

The door is suddenly flung open, revealing a blond guy wearing a t-shirt with ‘Brofist!’ written on the front in big letters and headphones around his neck. He grins like a maniac. “Hey, Cry! Introduce me to your girlfriend!”

I feel myself turn bright red, and I hear a choking sound next to me. “Pewds, we just met yesterday!”

He shrugs. “Okay, introduce me to your friend.”

I sigh. “Let’s just do all our introducing at once, okay?”

Pewdie rolls his eyes. “Fine, come in.”

We joined Marzia in the living room. “Hey, Cry! So you did bring your girlfriend? I thought Pewds was joking.”

I face palm at this point. Outside my frustrated thoughts, I hear (Y/N) saying “For crying out loud! We just met yesterday, why do you guys keep thinking we’re a couple?”

Marzia shrugs. “You look like you could be one.”

“Any boy and girl talking could be a couple.” I run my hand through my hair, sighing. “So, are we doing introductions?”

“I’m Marzia, that’s Felix, preferably Pewdiepie, Pewdie, or Pewds. And you?”

“(Y/N).”

“Nice name.”

“Thanks.”

“So are we going or not?” I ask. “Now that we know each other.”

“To the amusement park!” Pewdie cheers, dashing out to the cars, the rest of us following.
