Song for this chapter:
Say you won't let go- James Arthur
♡
Elena
When I woke up, the sun was shinning outside, motivating me to rapidly leave my bed.
I checked the time on my phone. It was almost 7a.m. Julia is probably sleeping at this time because of yesterday's party and since it's Saturday, everybody is doing a lie-in.
I took my shower, put on a jeans and a random T-shirt.
"Good morning!" said my mom on the couch, reading a book.
"Good morning, mom." I responded while giving her a quick kiss on her cheek.
I took a bottle of yogurt and some fresh fruits.
"Where's dad?" I asked.
"He has an important reunion, but he'll be there before noon."
I nodded and started to eat. My phone then started to vibrate, showing that I received a notification.
«Julia: Hey baby! I have a lot to tell you about yesterday!»
I smiled in front of her text message. This girl has always something to tell... It's incredible.
«Me: Cool.»
«Julia: Wanna go shopping with me today?»
«Me: Sure! When?»
«Julia: 1 p.m?»
«Me: Perfect! xoxo»
«Julia: Kiss xox»
I finished my breakfast and went to my room. I took my phone and looked for a song through my playlist. I clicked on a random song, and I recognized the guitar melody. It was "Say you won't let go" by James Arthur. Sounds started to come out my mouth, and my eyes closed.
I met you in the dark, you lit me up. You made me feel as though, I was enough...
While I was singing, Hayden came to my mind without any reason.
Then you smiled over your shoulder, for a minute I was stone-cold sober...
And his smile came to my mind: the dimples that appears when he smiles.
I knew I loved you then, but you'd never know. Cause I played it cool when I was scared of letting go...
My eyes opened suddenly, and I paused the music.
Wait!
Why did I think of Hayden? He is a simple guy like the others. A simple student. A simple stranger.
Why do I get so weird these days? Stop this, Elena. Stop this!
I changed the music so Hayden could disappear from my mind.
