It Can't

Chapter 9

In the last chapter:

Before he asked the second question, he thought for a moment and launched into it : "What was your first impression when you saw me?"

My heart started to beat faster and faster. I felt like my face was going to explode. What am I suppose to say? Pass this question or simply say a random thing? What about the truth?

"Wh...What?" I asked even if I knew what was his question.

"So?"

"I don't know... I mean, I didn't really notice you..." I lied, turning my face to avoid his look.

He laughed on his own and said,

"So what you are saying is that all this time, when you were spying me at school, you didn't notice me?".

"I did not spy you!"

"Don't lie."

"Okay! I've noticed you at school, but it was just because I've never seen you before."

"And what was your first impression when you saw Hayden, the handsome student?" he said, wiking his eye.

I remember when I saw him for the first time at school, it was with Julia. The first thing that I've noticed was his beauty: he was way more georgous than ''Kyle-the-popular''! His brown hair were a little bit tousle, but that's what gave him a charm, his dark eyes, his dimples when he was laughing... Who knew that I, Elena Jane, a normal teenager girl that never had a boyfriend, would ever talk to him?

"To be honest, I thought that you were like those guys that only talk to fame people..."

"Oh...Well I'm not like that. It's just...That I hang out with people that are like that maybe..."

"And what about you? What was your first impression when you saw me?" I asked looking through his eyes with a mocking smile.

Suddenly, my phone began to rang.

Shoot! I totally forgot my parents, they're probably dead worried. Hayden (finally) gave me my phone and I immediatly answered.

"Hello?" I said knowing that my mother will yell at me.

"Elena Margot Jane, where are you?! Why were you not answering to your phone?!" My mom yelled.

"Sorry mom, Nathan came late today and I've lost my phone. That's why I didn't call you, but I'm on my way now." I lied.

I got up rapidly and Hayden did the same thing.

"You could have called with the William's phone! You better come now!" And she hung up.

"I must leave, my parents are really angry because I didn't inform them." I said to Hayden while walking to my house fastly. Almost running...

He just kept follow me. Does he think that I'm going to let him come with me to my house? Oh hell, he is dreaming in colours!

''Where are you going? It's not the path of your house.'' I said. He looked at me and answered : ''I feel bad for you. I mean, your parents are angry because of me, my bad. I'll just talk to them.''

''What?! No no no. It's okay, I'll go alone. Thank you anyway.''

''Okay then...'' Then came a cringe moment. Who is going to say goodbye first?

1 2 3...

''Good bye.'' We said together wich has made me blush. He smiled and I returned his smile and we left each other.

While I was walking alone, I realized that I've just talk for maybe two hours with Hayden Williams!

Calm down Elena, it's only a normal guy, not Justin Bieber.

And what?! Gosh if Julia knew that. But I won't tell her, she'll think that I love him or stupid stuffs like that...

Hayden

My eyes were looking at the roof of my room, but my mind was in another place. When I found Elena's cellphone, it was beeping, like if somebody has texted to her a message. I couldn't resist to my curiosity . I knew it wasn't polite to use an object of another person, but it wasn't my fault: It's the fault of my big curiousity!

When I opened it, after a long moment of hesitation, the text message immediatly opened and I could see that the penpal was Julia, probably her friend.

From: Julia

I was really confused. Does Nathan's hot private teacher actually sings? However, I've never seen her at the school shows... And what about the ''You'll stop keeping your voice on your cellphone!'' ? There must be something on her phone, Something secret. Instantly, I began to rummage trough on the applications of her phone. The microphone ! I clicked on it and I saw a few recordings so I clicked on the first one, the one that was the most recent.

And then... my heart stopped by the soft voice that I recognized in a second; Elena's voice. My ears and my brain were hypnotized by her voice; she was singing in a calm way.

"Hayden?"

I immediately stopped the recording that I was listening to and saw my mom at my door.

"What are you doing?"

I was just listening to Nathan's private teacher sing, nothing so special...

"Nothing."

"Where is Ally? Did she leave?I mean... she wasn't suppose to eat the dinner with us tonight?" Asked my mom.

Ally. I totally forgot her; totally forgot what she did. How can she steal the money of my dad AND act like a bitch with my little brother? I know that she is like this with a lot of person, but I let her know to act like this with my family. I remember the first time I saw her, actually it was with my friends at my birthday party (they knew that I hate parties, but they said that it was for my 18 years old). Ally was there with her friends and we decided to join them. I guess the destiny brought me to her. Who knew that she was going to be my girlfriend? When I saw her, I thought that it was one of those groupies that wants every football players, but when I got to meet her personality, she was a great person. And one year later, she is my girlfriend.

"Hayden? You still there?"

"Yes, Ally won't be here." I got up of my bed and left my room. "The girl that was here before forgot her cellphone, I'll give it to her." And I left the house.
