After what seemed to be an hour, Nathan said with a little voice,
"Is Ally still here?"
"I don't know. Why?" I asked checking his face. His expression broke my heart. He nodded and got up to go to the bathroom.
I glanced down at my pants, now wet because of Nathan's tears, but it didn't matter. As I stood up, something went through my mind: Is Ally behind all this? I'm quite sure the answer is positive and I can't just look at this poor innocent kid crying because of his girlfriend's brother so I went in front of Hayden's door and knocked with harshness. After a little moment without any answer, I was going to knock again, but Hayden opened the door. His brown hair were messy and he was wearing a black T-shirt with a simple pair of jeans."Oh, the private teacher." he laughed. "How can I help you miss?"
But I wasn't laughing.
"Where is your girlfriend?" I asked seriously. Sure I was shy, but not when it comes to a little child who is crying.
"And why you want to know where she is?" He returned to me.
"Because I want to know." The only ''answer'' that he gave me was a glancing so I added "So. where is she?"
"I won't tell you, now can you please leave and return to your teaching miss Helen"
I felt the anger that was eating into me. "It's Elena and I won't go until I know where your stupid girlfriend is"
His jawbone contracted on my last setence and he said with his serious voice, "She's not stupid and I wo-" But then Ally came behind Hayden and passed her arms around his neck. At that moment, I wanted to leave this place, but I didn't want to let this girl hurt Nathan.
"Babe I was waiting for y- Oh! You..." she said looking at me.
"Yes, me. But let's talk about you. What did you do to Nathan uh?" I asked looking straight at her.
"What are you talking about?" she asked with an (ironic) innocent voice.
Play it in front of your boyfriend...
"I am talking about something you did to an innocent boy made him cry." I answered hardening my voice.Hayden took a deep breath and crossed his arms over his chest. "What the heck are you talking about? She did nothing."
"She's crazy, let her go." Ally said pulling Hayden back.
"She's not crazy, she's just telling the truth." said a voice that I recognized really well. Nathan. He was standing besides me, his hair brushed and his face cleaner and less sad than it was.
"You don't know any..." started Ally, but Nathan cut her off. "Yes I do! You always play it cool in front of my family, but in reality you're such an awful witch!"
Hayden stepped in, "Stop this Nat!"
Nathan looked at his brother, "No! She always in dad's office probably looking for money! And when I caught her before Elena came, she brought me to my room and said that if I tell anything to you, dad or mom, she will burn my favorite car, the one that grandpa gave me before his death."
After his intervention, a silence was reigning. Ally was looking at her boyfriend with a worried face and Nathan was staring at his feet. Me, I was embarrassed, but so proud that Nathan confessed his problems to his brother. Hayden really needs to wake-up and see the real face of his girlfriend. How can she even do this?!
