Chapter Eight

Above is the dress that Elbertina will wear for the grand opening.

Alexander POV~

I could see his eyes and they had this little smile towards them. I grabbed his shirt. "Don't ever get close to Elbertina. If you do I will be the person to kill you." I said that and slammed him to the ground. I felt myself wanting to punch him until he had a few broken bones, but I didn't. I had to control myself.

I couldn't look at him again so I had to get away. I drove off. I didn't know where I was going, but I didn't care about anything right now.

Elbertina POV~

It's been a month, and for this month I've been trying to make things completely perfect for the grand opening of the hotel. There was only a few hours left until the grand opening. I had a little bit of time, so I was looking at a few of my papers in the living room until Adriano started crying. I was cradling him in my arms, when he fell asleep I started thinking about a few days ago.

Flashback~~~

"Why did you come to my house?" I said opening the door to see José. "I wanted to see you." José had this smug look on his face.

"You can't just come and barge into my house. I thought that I said no, to you asking me out."

"I know, but I had to tell you something." He pulled out his phone to show a picture of me. The picture was of a girl with phoenix neon glowing hair. "Who's that?" I said.

He started laughing.

"You know who that is." He looked at me with this vicious glare. "Nope, I have no idea. Please tell me who this person might be."

"Its you." He said while looking at me with his expressionless face.

I couldn't believe that anyone had a picture of me from that day. I made sure that no one ever had a picture. I remember deleting every single picture of that day, so no one could ever see it. At the time I wanted to forget everything, but I just can't.

"Its not me."

"Stop bull craping. You and I know that the girl right next to Alexander is you Elbertina." I couldn't hold in the fourth biggest secret that I've ever had.

"I knew the first time that I saw you. I knew you were at the reunion. That is me in the picture. So what do you plan on doing with it."

"If you don't want Alexander to find out this is you in the picture. Then you better pay me $800,000 dollars." He had this little smirk that said "There's no way she would pay me that much money to keep my mouth shut", but he's so wrong. 

"Okay I will give you the $800,000." I grabbed my check book and wrote the $800,000 dollars in his name. I was about to give him the check, but pulled back my hand. "If you ever tell anyone about this. You will regret it." Then I handed him the check.

"Then it's a deal." He walked away closing the door. 

I made sure that one of my bodyguards looked over him. I want to make sure that he won't tell anyone, especially Alexander. 

The present~~~

I'm getting ready for the grand opening. I decided on wearing this long mermaid dress that hugs every single curve of my body perfectly, paired with these black rhinestone ankle strapped stilettos. I made sure to call Layla to see how she was doing. Layla got married in the middle of December, and had to move to Hong Kong with her husband. 

She told me she was doing good and that her husband has been working hard, and that she loves working in the new part of the company in Hong Kong. 

I was in the car wondering if it's a good idea to bring Adriano and Catalina to the grand opening, but I can't do anything about it know. I made sure that Anna could bring the twins inside the hotel from the back door. 

I climbed out of the car and the first thing is see is camera flashes. I could not see, but that's normal for me. Thank you bad eyesight. Pauperizes were trying to talk with me left and right, but I had to go inside the hotel to greet everyone inside.

When I walked inside to the grand opening party I could feel people staring at me from all angles.

Alexander POV~

When Elbertina walked in, I couldn't take my eyes off her. I couldn't stop looking at how her dress shows every curve on her body. I loved how I could see her tattoos, and how her long hair cascaded onto her back. She smiled and then started walking away. Her smile was something I've never seen before. I wanted to see her smile more often. 

A few hours later~~~

It's been only a few hours and I'm already tired of this party. I haven't seen Elbertina again. One minute I see her, and the next she's out of my sight. I was walking to the back of the room, when I could hear a baby crying.

"Please stop crying. Your mommy will be here soon." 

"She's very cute. What's her name?" I was clutching the little girl's hand. She had these eyes that I know I've seen before, and this light brown hair...

"Her name is Catalina." I looked up and it was Elbertina. "She's my daughter." That's why when I looked at her, she reminded me of Elbertina. 

"Do you know where Adriano is?" 

"Yes, we had to change his diaper. Oh, here they are." 

"Who is Adriano?" 

"Adriano is my son." 

Adriano looked familiar. It was like I've seen this little boy for my entire life. He had dark brown hair and brown eyes, he looked nothing like Elbertina.

"Sorry, but we'll have to be going now." When she said that my heart sank to the ground, this never happened before. What's wrong with me?

Throughout the entire party I couldn't stop trying to find Elbertina. Every time I tried she would walk away from my field of vision. All I really wanted to know was why Adriano looked familiar to me.
