Chapter Nineteen

Elbertina POV

Two days later

"What do you mean that their both in surgeries. They both told me that we can have a meeting today at 2:15 PM." I said yelling at the other people in conference room. 

I was supposed to be meeting with the board members of the hospital that my company invest with. This was the third time that I've had to reschedule this meeting, because a few of them are always in surgery. But I still want to work with this hospital mainly because my family have invested with this hospital threw out the years. 

"Their surgery will be over in two hours, Ms. Hazeldine. We're also sorry for the inconvenience that we would have to reschedule this meeting until later." 

I got up from my chair and started walking to the door. "Please, contact me when the other two are finished with their surgeries."

I stopped and checked my phone to see a message from Alexander. I told my family about you and the twins. My parents and Francesca didn't really take it well. They believe that I should've been told about the twins sooner than 6 year later. My parents are going to throw a family dinner on Thursday next week and since I told them about the twins. I hope you can come to the dinner with the twins? Could we also talk about how we're going to raise the twins separately. If you can you can stop by my office at around  4? 

I started walking again this time with my PA beside me. I looked around the hallway to see that they were bringing in a patient and beside them was two familiar faces. Alesia?  Francesca? What are they doing here?

Alesia walked outside to the hallway to talk to one of the doctors. "Mrs. Leone, your husband has lost a lot of blood and as you told me he has -O blood. We used all of our -O blood yesterday after a small mishap with the people that supply us with -O blood. We would have to do a blood transfusion immediately."  

I walked up to the two of them. "Alesia, if you want I can do the blood transfusion?"

Both of them looked and me and the doctor was about to say something until Alesia spoke first. "Thank you Elbertina. Thank you so much." The doctor understood her decision. The doctor pulled me into the room that was made into a surgery room for him.  One of the nurses poked me with a needle that goes to a blood bang and goes into Alesia's husband. Whose name I forgo

It took around an hour for the surgery to be finished. Francesca came into the room. "Why are here! No one wants you here!" I was startled from the sudden yelling. 

"Your sister Alesia allowed me to help and give her husband a blood transfusion. So please don't yell at me because you don't like me." I got up from the chair and was helped by my PA to help me walk around. After giving him so much of my blood I started to feel a bit dizzy and stumbled with my steps a little. "Also Francesca, even if you don't like me because of what I did. Don't yell at me after help your sister and her husbands life."

My PA and I walked out of the room.

I could hear stomping behind me. "You shouldn't be . . ." 

"Miss. Hazeldine. The other two board members finished their surgery. Every one is ready to start the meeting again." One of the board members said to me. 

"Thank you." I said and walked behind the board member.

1 hour later

"Thank you Miss. Hazeldine for waiting until all the members were here and thank you for being understanding." I said shaking hands with the head board member of the hospital. "It's no problem Mrs. Johnson. I can only wait if one of the board members are doing what they've studied for long time. Also well get to see each other in three months, don't you forget Mrs. Johnson." I said. 

I left the hospital and checked the time to see that I was a bit late to see Alexander. I told my PA to drive me to Alexander's office so we could talk. 

It took me about 45 minutes to get to Alexander's office because of trafic. I walked into the Piras office and said my name and said that I was supposed to meet Alexander Piras 50 minutes ago. They told me that I can go to his office and see him. I took the elevator and clicked 39th floor. I walked out of the elevator and didn't see his secretary.

I knocked on the door and then opened the door. "Alexander I'm so sorry that I'm late. There was so much trafic and my meeting was delayed a . . ." I looked up to see Alexander and Adelia Torres? Adelia was on sitting on his lap and Alexander's hands were on her waist. They both got up from the chair. I looked down to they were holding hands and Adelia had an engagement ring. 

"Elbertina. Um . . . This is my fiancé Adelia, Adelia this is Elbertina." 

"Um . . . We should talk some other time then. I don't want to intrude on whatever you guys were doing." I said looking down on the floor and turning back out of the room. "It's nice seeing you again Elbertina. I hope we get to see each other again." I heard Adelia say behind me. 

I ran out of Piras office and into the car and used a very small hushed voice to tell my PA to take me to Sebastian's office. 

When I got Sebastian's office he wasn't there. He was probable in a meeting. I went to one of the cabinet's in his office to grave a blanket and a pillow that he keeps in his office. I ended up falling asleep waiting for Sebastian to come back to his office. "Elbertina? Why are you in my office? You sleep in my office, so what's wrong?" Sebastian said closing the door behind him. 

"Did you know that Alexander has a fiancé?"

"No, and why do you think he has a fiancé?" 

"Because I saw her at his office just today. And do know his fiancé's name! It's fucking Adelia Torres."

"Wait Adelia Torres? Adelia Torres the girl from when we went to high school with the same Adelia that people called just hook up with? The same Adelia Torres who you had a rivalry with. That Adelia Torres?" He said and I nodded my head yes.
