Alexander POV

The Next Day

I didn't sleep until very late last night, because I was cleaning my room. I was making sure that I had Adelia's things packed in a box so that my PA could take it to her apartment. I even made sure that nothing of her expensive things would break. I don't want to pay for the things I broke.

After a while my PA came to pick up all the boxes to leave at Adelia's apartment. When my PA came to pick up my things she also gave an envelope.

I looked at the envelope in my hand. It had a wax emblem on the envelop. I opened the envelope to see an invitation to Elbertina's birthday on December 25. It's going to be a surprise party that Benjamin is planning for her.

I don't know If I should even go to her birthday party. It's not like were in good terms right now.I could tell by the way she was angry with me at my family dinner and how her attitude changed when she meet Adelia. It looked like she didn't like Adelia. It was like there was something between the two of them. It was kind of weird how Adelia said "It's nice seeing you again, Elbertina."

I left the envelope on my coffee table and looked out side to see that it was starting to rain. I could hear a bit of thunder and the harsh water coming down from the sky. I then got a text from Liam. He wanted to meet up at a restaurant at 5 PM. I answered his text to say yes to him. When I finished answering him I went to my bathroom to go take a shower. When I got into the shower I felt the warm water fall all over. I could see the mist that the warm water made after a minute or two.

When I finished taking a shower I changed into some casual clothes. I checked my phone to see what time it was and it was only 4:00, so I still have about an hour until I have to see Liam. So I already got ready to go to the restaurant. When I got to the restaurant I got a bit wet from the rain. I forgot that I left my umbrella in the living room.

When the waiter showed me the table where me and Liam are going to be at. I saw something weird. I thought I saw Elbertina walking into the restaurant. It was weird because there was a guy walking beside her. With his arm around her waist.

She can't be on a date. Is she on a date? No. No. No. That can't be true. I've never heard anything about her wanting to go on a date or anything, I should know. I try and make sure that hear all of rumors and gossip about Elbertina. Even the ones that are completely false, but its also nice to read/hear about what people think about her. There have been multiple times that I've made sure the people who wrote the articules would get fired. But all of them don't know that it was me who got them fired.

"Alexander! Sorry if I had you wait to long. Even though I was the one who wanted to meet with you." Liam said breaking my train of thoughts.

"No, I didn't have to wait to long. I just got here a few minutes ago." I said when he sitting down in his chair. "What did you want to tell?" I said. 

Liam handed me file of papers. "It's about this." Before I could look through the file the waiter came by asked us if we were ready to order or not. Liam and I ordered our own thing. I then opened the file and the first thing I see is "ALEXANDER PIRAS BROKE HIS ENGAGEMENT WITH ADELIA TORRES!" I skimmed through the entire thing to see what she said about me. 

"Alexander, I have to publish it and if I don't I could get fired." he said and I nodded my head. I gave him his file back. "It was going to happen sooner or later." Knowing Adelia she was going to tell the public everything. 

"But that's not everything. She also said that Elbertina was the reason why you broke the engagement. She said that you've liked Elberinta for a long time now. Alexander, your one of my best friends and I think if I publish this articule it could harm your career." Liam said. The waiter came by again to put down our food so we could eat. We both didn't want to eat until we were finished talking. 

"Could you try and publish it until tomorrow. I have to do some few things." Liam nodded his head and then started eating his food. 

We both finished in about 45 minutes. We were both about to leave, until some girl started laughing. The girl laughing made me stop in my tracks. I turned around to see a girl with long light brown hair seated near the window facing some guy. 

"I have to do something. I'll see you later." I said to Liam who was now walking out of the restaurant. I started walking slowly towards the girl. The same girl started laughing again. The laugh sounded so familiar. It was this rich sweet laugh that could make anyone laugh. The laugh was Elbertina's laugh. "You can't say those kinds of things here, Rian." Elbertina said and laughed again. 

The guy whose name was Rian. He has brown hair and silver/blueish eyes. He had a chiseled jawline which made me understand why most of the women in the restaurant kept on glancing towards him. He was wearing a light blue button up shirt with his sleeves rolled up. Which I still don't understand why girl swoon over guys rolling up their sleeve like is that supposed to be sexy. I still don't understand it. 

I waited a few seconds before tapping her shoulder. "Can I talk to you?" I said looking at Elbertina. "What are you doing here, Alexander?" She said and I grabbed her wrist. "I'll be right back, Rain." She said when I started dragging her to a more secluded place.

"What do you want to tell me, Alexander?" I let go of her wrist and she started massaging her wrist. I didn't know that I was holding her wrist so tightly.

I pushed her lightly to the wall behind her. I kissed her on the lips. It was more rough and not at a light loving. It was more of lust and anger. I didn't like how she laughed at what ever the other guy was saying. "Please, kiss me back." I said when she didn't return the kiss. 

She tried to push me back, but couldn't. She finally did and slapped me across the face. I dropped my face. I couldn't look her in the eyes anymore. 

"Why would you do that? You have a fiancé." 

"I broke off my engagement." I looked up finally to see Elbertina starting to walk away. I grabbed her wrist before she walked any further. "I really like you Elbertina. When I say I really like you I mean it. I broke off my engagement because I didn't love Adelia. I love you Elbertina." 

She tugged on my hand so I could let her go. She then walked away.
