Chapter Eighteen

Elbertina POV

Three days later

It's been three days and we're all trying to unpack everything in the new penthouse. The twins were trying to get accustomed living in New York. Adriano is more happy than Vera living here. Adriano has two friends that moved to New York last year, Vera's sad that she had to leave her best friend Alice in Georgia. 

I haven't talked to Alexander since the day he asked me if he could tell his family about the twins. He told me that they wouldn't believe it and would want proof that they were his children. Which made the twins have to take a DNA test. He was supposed to tell me after he told his family, but I think he hasn't gotten the time to sit his family down and give them a 'talk'.

"So what should I do with this?" My cousin Karina cut me out of my train of thought. She was helping me get everything unpacked. She took a day off to help us all unpack which is something that only we would do. I also know that its not easy to take a day off from her work. She workes as a PA for my companies long time enemy. Ayden Fontana. May I also add he doesn't even know that Karina is my cousin. Plus at family gatherings we don't talk about business around Karina, which she is fine with. Since she wanted to do something on her own and not go the 'easy way'. 

"In the living room. Anna is going to throw them away." She walked away from the kitchen and into the living room. A few seconds later Karina came back to the kitchen and sat down on a stool. 

"So are you going to tell aunt and uncle about Alexander?" Karina said. 

"So what are you going to say to Ayden 'yes or no'?" I said. Karina was shocked by my sentence. 

Karina has told me everything about her relationship with Ayden. It's kind of weird for her to tell me about her love life with my rival. But it makes me happy that she found someone that she likes, since what's happening with my aunt her mom. 

"You answer me first." She said looking at me dead in eyes. Karina had honey eyes and freckles all over her face that she inherited from her mom. But her hair is this slightly dark brown hair that she got from her dad. 

"Fine." She looked at me smiled. Karina never did smile before. When she smiles it makes me happy inside because of what happened when she was little. It made me sad that she never had a 'normal' childhood because of her mom. 

"I will tell my mom and dad in three days. They're visiting me and the twins for a few days." Karina was shocked by my statement. She leaned over the counter table and slapped my arm. 

"And you didn't tell me. All the day's I came over to help you unpack your things and you didn't mention that auntie and uncle are coming to New York." Karina said in her natural English accent. Since Karina moved to the States she tried to change her English accent to an American accent. But sometimes every now and then when she's either mad, happy, or sad she changes to her English accent.  

"I'm sorry, Karina. Both of them wanted to visit last minute and I just wanted to tell them and finish all the awkwardness of having to talk to them later on. You should also understand that." That is true my dad called on behalf of my mom that they're visiting. They both wanted to see the new penthouse. But for my dad he wants to talk about me staying in New York and about marriage. Which he's been trying to get me engaged to Rian. Who I haven't even talked to since I broke up with him in the 11th grade. 

"There should be a reason why your dad wanted to visit last minute, but for your mom she would do that sort of thing." Karina and everyone in the family knows that there is always a reason for my dad to visit last minute. 

When I was staying in New York after graduating high school a year early he would come and visit at any time he wanted to. He once came over to find out that I was at a concert that Benjamin dragged me to go. He was furious that I wasn't at the penthouse at a very late hour.

"Probably talk about marriage or about me staying in New York?"

"Your dad's still trying to get you married too Rian. You guys haven't talked since what the 11th grade." 

"Yup, he's still trying. Last time my dad was telling me that I should be thinking about marriage he was telling me that I'm getting older and should be thinking about a man to be in my life."

"Also what are you going to do for your birthday. Are you going to Mexico or are you going to celebrate your birthday here."

"I'm not sure. I want to visit Samuel since its also his birthday. But I also know that every year that Sebastian and Benjamin throw a birthday party. So I'm not sure if I should or shouldn't." I said turning my ring on my right hand. I only turn my ring around my finger when I'm nervous or when I don't know what to do.

"That's true its his birth day also, but you have to know that where Samuel's family live is a dangers place in Mexico." Its true, my aunt doesn't really live in good environment for a teenager.

"What if I told him and his brothers they can live in New York and go to school here in the States. And that they shouldn't worry about money or a place to live. For his birthday gift." I said looking up into her eyes. Karina had her mouth fully open from shock.

"When did you even talk to them?" She said finally shutting her mouth.

"A few days ago. They're coming to the States next month."

Also do you ever want to yell at a person because they were so stupid and don't want to listen to anything. Because that's what I did to a person in my class.
