Alexander POV

Two Week Later  

I haven't slept in two days.  Its my fault for worrying about things that I want to know. I looked at the file of papers I haven't looked at. I looked over to the note and bracelet in my left hand. This can't be her handwriting. Can it be? I should stop thinking of this and start thinking about work. 

*knock knock**

"Can I come in Mr. Piras?" 

"Yes, please do come in." 

A man with a classic black and white suite walked into the room. He sat down on the couch that I only use to talk with to people. "Hello, Mr. Evans. Thank you for meeting with me today." I said after sitting down on the opposite side of him. "No, its fine. Your also lucky that I'm visiting family." Mr. Evans said. 

*ring ring**

"Sorry, may I answer this phone call?" Mr. Evans said while holding his phone in his right hand. I nodded my head yes and he later answered the phone. 

"Ella, I'm sorry can you bring me those papers to me. .... Thanks I love you so much." He finished his phone call after about two minutes talking on the phone. 

"I'm sorry Mr. Piras." 

"No, its fine. Now shall we discuses the decision." 

"Yes, we may." 

1 hour later 

"Thank you for everything Mr. Evans" 

"Its no problem Mr. Piras." 

Mr. Evans opened the door. I was expecting an empty hallway, but no Elbertina was in the hallway with paper in her hand. She was wearing a pair of jeans and a plain white shirt and a pair of black browline glasses. How can she look so good without even trying? Also when did she get glasses? 

"Thank you Ella. You are a life saver." Mr. Evans said after giving a hug to Elbertina.

"Its no problem Benjamin. I would do anything for you." She said after giving him the papers. "Hi, Alexander."

"Hi, Elbertina."   

"Sorry about me intruding in you guys conversation."

"No, we just finished." I said gripping the edge of my desk enough that it could cause some bleeding. "How do you guys know each other any way?" I said trying to keep all of my anger inside. "We've known each since high school." Mr. Evans said 

"She's is also my sister-in-law." Mr. Evans said

Both of them started laughing together. How could I not known that? Wait that would mean he is...... "Benjamin married my little brother Severo when he was 19 years old and Benjamin was 23 years old." 

"I have to get going. Also Mr. Piras please call me by Ben when we don't have company business." Ben said and I nodded my head yes. "I'll see later at family dinner." Ben said and gave Elbertina a kiss on her left cheek. 

"Can I talk to you Elbertina?" 

"Sure what do you need to talk about." 

I walked over to her and closed the door behind her. I looked into her blue/brown eyes. Her body started to tense up. I walked back to my desk to grabe the note from before. "Did you ever write me this letter before?" I said giving her a letter with a yellow flower and blue ink cursive writing. She took the letter out of my hand slightly touching my hand. When We touched I could sense a slight spark. The slight spark made me have cold shiver in my back.

"I never wrote you this, and this isn't even my hand write. On the other had this is the same kind of paper I have back at home." She said while reading the letter. 

"Do you know whose hand writing is this."

"Yes, I do. The hand writing is Sebastian's writing and he was the person that bought me same kind of paper." She said after giving me back the letter. "I should get going now." 

"Okay, then good bye." Elbertina walked to the door and was about to turn the doorknob. I walked over to her and slammed my left hand on the door. "What did you just say?" 

"What are you talking about? I didn't even say anything." 

"You said something just a second ago......  Elbertina are the twins my children." 

"No, they're not your children." She answered after a minute of silence. "Your lying to me." I slammed my fist into the hard door that made thud sound. "Please tell me truth." I said looking into her eyes and could see a slight difference that I've never seen in her. 

"Do you really want to know the truth?" 

"Yes, I wan't to know the whole truth." I said pleading to know the truth. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. 

"Yes, the twins are your children." I started to pase around the room and I couldn't think about anything. I ran my hand through my jet black hair. I took a deep breath before talking to Elbertina again. "How could you never tell me this? How could you never tell me I was their father?" 

"Why would I. You Alexander Piras wanting to take responsibility on becoming a father. The same person that would hook up with any girl at any party and would just leave her as a one night stand. So you can tell me that I'm a bad person for not letting the father of my children to be in their life, but I don't want both of them to know that their father hooks up with any woman we finds appealing or sexy." 

"If it means that I have to change myself to even be near them. I would! Also why would you never tell me this information?" 

"Because Alexander I am scared! I am scared If I ever told you. I am still scared about going to court for the twins because if it went down like that. You would win." 

"What are you talking about?" 

"You would win because the court would find out that I had depression, high anxiety, and two suicide attempts. The court would think that I'm uncapable to take care of myself and the children. I don't want that to happen. I love the twins and I try my best to take care of both of them." Elbertina started to form tears and the next thing I see her bawling her eyes out. Her breathing was irregular and started to hick up. I pulled her into my arm and held her until she could calm down. 

I didn't know that side of her. I wouldn't do that to her. I don't want to hurt her. 

I held her tighter in my arms and started to caress her back to calm all the nerves and stop her from crying any more. She rapped her frail arms around my body. I could feel her tears landing on me. Her breathing became regular and I put my lips near her ear. "I'm not going to do that. I just want to at least be in their life. Nothing more nothing less. So please Elbertina let me be in their life." 

"If I let you be in their life, than you would need to understand a few things." She said it in a small whisper that I could only barley hear her. I smiled after she told me this. "Thank you Elbertina."
