"Are you almost done yet? You've been staring at this book for hours, Gem!" Bucky said stretching his arms above his head, following up with a deep sigh.
The blonde shifted her hair behind her shoulder, silently marking her page and looking up; "It has only been 30 minutes Buck, and finals are in two weeks today. Do you want me to fail?"
The stormy eyed brunette raised a single eyebrow, "If it means you'll talk to me instead of reading for an hour, then yes.".
Gem sighed, rolling her bright blue eyes. "Here, I have an idea. Why don't you just study with me?".
Bucky's eyebrows furrowed, creating small creases around his eyes; and creeping across his forehead, "I have not gone to school in a million years and I do not plan on changing that."
The blonde shrugged and moved her long locks out of the way again, "Okay then I'll just go back to reading. Have fun sitting in silence Buck."
She swiftly pulled out her bookmark and began skimming the pages of the Honors Biology textbook again. Humming softly she turned the page; each note teasing the poor man even more.
"Fine! I'll study with you. Honors Bio can't be that hard anyway!" Bucky sighed, very much defeated.
Gem smirked and reached into her bag, pulling out a stack of flash cards as think as her palm was wide. Bucky's eyes widened at the sight.
"Since it's so easy lets start with what you know Buck!"
"W-Well alright then, I've got this one in the bag Gem." He said stuttering slightly; his eyes never pulling away from the gigantic stack of cards.
"Okay, what is allele frequency, and how is it calculated?" Gem asked, biting her lip to hide her smirk.
"Well, um, you see here I-" Buck stuttered, utterly defeated.
"Exactly, do you see why I have to study now?"
Bucky nodded, "I just don't see why you have to do it for so long, can't you take a break? We could go to the movies or something."
A light blush creeped across Gem's cheeks, "I think I can take a break for that."
He smirked triumphantly crossing his arms on his chest and leaning back in the small chair; practically screaming under his weight. One hand ran it's fingers carelessly through his hair as he leaned back further; waiting for Gem to finally close that awful textbook.
Gem spoke up again, "But only if you're paying!".
