One word danced back and forth through her mind: 'No!'. Over and over again she pictured Bucky's fierce expression as he saw her beaten form slumped over the shoulder of a nameless HYDRA associate.
Y/n tried to find some organic material to latch onto, but her underwater glass prison held nothing she could use to her advantage. Completely alone, scared, and bruised, she sat in the fetal position in the cursed slick glass tube. Hugging herself slightly as the tears began to stream down her face, another thought crossed her mind; how am I ever going to get out of here?
She began to push the sides of the glass, willing it to break. For even to drown was better than serve as another specimen for HYDRA.
Screaming until her throat was ablaze she willed herself to stay awake. Not daring to gamble with what they could do to her when she was asleep. Suddenly she realized, they didn't want her. They wanted their Winter Soldier back.
Her blatant anger and fear turned to an agonizing fear that presented itself in the form of hot tears as she realized she jeopardized her lover's life as his former self.
What was she going to do?
