A/N - Thank you to those readers who have stuck with this collection of one shots even though I have a terrible habit of not updating regularly :) I really appreciate all the votes, requests, and comments I receive. Also, I'm going to write a chapter with a male reader in the near future, so don't worry. I can use any pronouns in a request and all you have to do is message me. Don't be shy!
The window became fogged as Y/n and Bucky sat beside each other, simply watching silvery flakes abandon the clouds as they made their graceful descent towards the icy ground below. Wishing to break the silence (however peaceful it may be), Y/n reached one s/c fingertip towards the condensation covered glass. As they dragged their single digit across the cold surface, a heart took form. Then, with a satisfied sigh, Y/n brought their hand back to her side.
Another hand reached towards the glass, placing its finger just above the spot where Y/n's heart began; placing a larger one around it. A light blush crept its way across Y/n's smiling cheeks.
"Flirt." Y/n quipped, their tone overflowing with feigned sarcasm.
Bucky rolled his eyes, though he stared directly forward, entranced by the winter storm.
"Are you okay Buck? You seen a bit detached." Y/n asked, not feigning their concern.
Tearing his eyes away from the window Bucky looked at Y/n and smiled lightly, "This is the first snowfall I've enjoyed in years. Usually it gets a bit cold, you know," He said gesturing to his metal arm. "Though it's quite warm with you by my side."
Y/n's face lit up, "Then we should go outside and take a walk or build a snowman! This is the first snowfall this year! Oh this is so perfect, don't you agree?"
Smiling happily at their childlike joy Bucky nodded. Not needing, an invitation Y/n grabbed Bucky's arm and dragged him to the closet; where the two kept their coats. Quickly tugging on a f/c winter coat and a pair of gloves Y/n opened the door to the apartment's staircase.
"Hurry up Buck! We need to go out before it gets too cold!" Y/n said excitedly.
After he had pulled on his coat, Bucky made his way to the doorway, where the happy couple made their ascent down the tackily carpeted apartment stairs.
Quickly reaching the bottom floor Y/n ran through the front door out into the snow, relishing in the whitewash of the previously dingy cement.
"I'm so glad we came outside." They whispered as the icy flakes danced around them, melting once they hit their warm flesh.
Bucky chuckled. "I'm pretty glad you dragged me out here."
Y/n looked at the man and rolled their eyes, though their grin spoke of the excitement they felt at being able to make him smile.
