"Looks like someone has bet us to it". I sighed.

Toothless hovered over the woods, we could see a lot of policemen walking around. Nice to see that inspector Mallory was starting to take this case seriously.

I told Toothless to land away from the policemen, so we could look.

"I know we already have found something, but I was thinking something else might be here". I suggested the dragon nodded.

We walked up the path looking around us, before going off the path. Looking very carefully at the ground trying not miss anything.

Toothless tugged at me sleeve and looked towards the path. Oh no it was the inspector, he'll probably hate me if he sees me here.

I crouched down, Toothless did the same. It was interesting to see him looking at well. Suddenly the dragon moved his tail which caused a swishing noise amongst the ferns.

Inspector Mallory stopped to looked up and into our direction. Now I was starting to panic.

"Shh". I hissed.

He stayed there for a bit still looking in our direction.

"Is it me or can I see a red tail fin?". He asked.

I wasn't going to give in.

"Like I said the other day, you can't hide from me". He said.

That's when Toothless had to give it away, by sneezing. I then got up and sighed. The dragon did the same.

"What brings you here?". Mallory asked.

"Well Mrs McCarthy gave me a list of jobs to do, to stop us from interfering".

"Ok then". He said.

"But I got bored, then decided to sneak out and still look around". I continued.

"You know the little letter, that said something about the countryside".

I nodded. "Well we haven't really gone to look up there, maybe we will tomorrow". The inspector said.

"If I didn't find anything there that might mean you won't find anything either". I said walking off.

Mallory went in the opposite direction to where the policemen were searching. I got on Toothless and took off into the sky. Back the church, gulp I knew we was going to be in trouble for sneaking off.
