It was a bright and sunny morning in Kembleford. Kembleford is a small village, in the middle of the country side in England.
Today was church Sunday, and the townsfolk came to church. Father Brown was standing outside, greeting the people who came in.
"Hello", "How nice to see you". He said.
Toothless and I were flying through the skies. It was a nice bright blue sky, with a breeze blowing by.
"We should be near Kembleford Toothless, I can feel it". I said looking at the ground below us.
And there it was the small village, which has had many murders. As I told Toothless to land, I was thinking about the nice time we were going to have staying here for a week.
"Kembleford, bud always wanted to come here ever since we watched that show". I said.
We landed on the ground Toothless was tired from the flying and began to rest, he went to go and find some grass to sit in with shade.
"Don't want to annoy you bud, but best we find the church". I said walking through the town with Toothless getting up to follow me.
Kembleford is a nice little town. Even if there has been a lot of murders here, but those murderers are being caught by Father Brown. It is supposed to be the inspectors job but he just arrests the wrong people, and doesn't question people.
I was standing outside the church, looking at the building and the stain glass windows. I may not be religious, although I do believe in some gods just not there type, they were still very interesting windows.
"Well no sign of the Inspector yet". I said looking at Toothless, who was sitting in the shade. "What do you think he'll say if he saw you, I don't think that should be allowed because it would make a great murder weapon". I said making an impression of the Inspector.
"I hope you find that very amusing". Said a deep voice from behind.
I turned around, to see who it was, thank the lords it was only Sid.
"I actually thought it was the inspector". I gasped.
"Carry on like that and it could be the inspector one day". Sid said. "Anyway you must be the girl that is going to stay here for a week?". He asked.
I nodded. "Oh and this is Toothless, my great dragon friend".
Sid walked up to Toothless to greet him. Sid was wearing a blue and green checked shirt, with his overalls, and hat.
"Remarkable creature he is, isn't he?". He asked.
I nodded. "If a murder happens do you think the inspector will think I did because I have Toothless?". I asked.
"He shouldn't, well what can be do to kill someone". Sid said stroking Toothless.
Suddenly the church bells began to ring, probably saying that church is over for the day. People came walking out the church, then Mrs McCarthy and Father Brown. He was wearing his church clothes.
Sid waved to them, as they came over to see us.
"Father how nice to see you". Sid greeted them both.
"Ah, I thought you might be coming". Father Brown said.
"Hello nice to see you two, I'm very happy to be here, on such a fine day". I said.
Toothless went to greet them as well. Mrs McCarthy wasn't so sure of Toothless, maybe because he was a very unusual creature.
"This Toothless, he is my good dragon friend, aren't you bud". I said.
"He is an extraordinary creature, isn't here Mrs McCarthy?". Father Brown asked.
"Oh I'm not very sure what to think of him, he is just well...unusual I guess". She stuttered.
Toothless is a nice dragon he doesn't bite or kill people, although when he doesn't like a certain person, he just growls at them. Then walks away.
"I know what to think of him". Said a deep voice but it was different this time, more harsh.
I looked around to see who it was, and it was Inspector Mallory.
"Go on what do you think of it?, is it a good murder weapon or something". Sid angrily said.
Father Brown told him to calm down. Sid hates Mallory, because he is nothing but a useless lazy detective.
"Actually I was going to say... it is...well since you mention that it could be used as a good murder weapon". He harshly said. Walking up to Toothless to see him.
"Lay on finger on him, and you have made a new enemy, if I were you which I'm not I wouldn't want him as your enemy". I warned.
Mallory didn't look so happy, he gave a sigh and walked off muttering something to himself.
"Should we have some tea?". Mrs McCarthy asked.
"That's a great idea". Replied Father Brown.
I waited for them to go into the house, and sighed to myself.
"That was pretty harsh don't you think?". Sid asked.
"Sorry about that, I don't want you to think I'm a bad person". I answered.
We walked up to the house for some tea. They have a nice little house near the church.
"What was that all about?". Mrs McCarthy asked. Pouring tea into my cup.
I stayed quiet, and looked at Toothless. Who was sniffing at everything in the kitchen.
"Sorry, I'm not bad person, really it must of been. I don't really know". I sighed.
"Where did you find the extraordinary creature?". Father Brown wondered.
"Long story, I just found him really". I replied.
"Well I do like a good story". Father Brown said.
"Ok then here's how it happened". I said as I started to tell them the story.
2 hours later
2 hours of great stories about my life and theirs, the many adventures they have been on. The many adventures I have been on as well."Goodness me look at the time". McCarthy said.
"Right I'll be off, nice to meet you, bye". Sid waved as he went home.
It was 7:30 in the night. I was starting fall asleep as well as Toothless.
"It must of been along Journey from up north, please stay the night, if you must we have a spare room". The father offered.
"But I thought she was staying for a week?". McCarthy asked.
I nodded. "Good night, I will not be any trouble I promise you that".
I went upstairs to the room and fell on bed, and drifted on to sleep. Toothless slept on the floor, and he also drifted off to sleep.
