The missing Father (#1 in the series)

Father Browns plan

"Well since you have found me, when I thought the inspector would". Father Brown said.

"Wait...this whole idea of yours going missing, was so the inspector could find you?". I asked.

"Well, yes and no really". He smiled.

'What does he mean by yes and no?' I asked myself.

"But I have an idea". The father said. "If I wanted the inspector to find me, and get the credit. For a chance, I'll have to ask if I can borrow you dragon".

Toothless's ears pricked up, he wasn't to sure what the plan was going to be about, and what his part will be.

"What will Toothless do?". I asked.

"I was thinking he could be the wild dragon guarding me, while I'm am tied up". Father brown said.

"So you want Mallory to save you, from this so called "wild dragon". I quoted.

Father brown nodded. Toothless looked at me he made a small roar which meant. "I'm going to be a wild dragon, but I don't really know how they behaviour".

"You'll figure it out bud". I answered his question. "Can't wait for this plan to go to action".

"Yes, me too and how are we going to get back?". The father asked.

"On Toothless". I suggested Father Brown gave me an unsure look. "Oh come on it'll be fine, anyway it'll be the closest you'll get to the heavens". I said.

"Ok then". The father replied.

We got up, and walked out of the woods to the road. Where toothless could take off. I wonder what the others reactions would be when he returns.

I also wondered how inspector Mallory was going to react to "wild dragon" which will be Toothless.

We got out onto the road, I got on first and offered a hand to Father Brown, as he climbed onto Toothless.

"We could high in the sky, or close to the ground, it's your choice?". I noted.

"Maybe high at first so I could say something to the heavens". He replied.

Toothless understood him as he took off into the sky. I don't really believe in the god, but I'll respect what he wants to believe.

"Never been this close before". Father brown said, he began talking to the clouds, but I didn't really understand it.

I believe in the Greek Gods in the Greek mythology, as there is so much to learn.

Later on during the flight, he was finished talking to the heavens he then ask if I believed in the god?

"Unfortunately not, although I do believe in the Greek Gods". I replied.

"Ah, so Zeus, Hades, and Ares those ones?".

I nodded we kept flying till we reached Kembleford. I told Toothless to land at the church, and he did. I slide off Toothless, and offered a hand again to Father Brown.

He walked up to his house, Toothless and I followed him. The father opened the door, walked in find that nobody was there.

"Strange normally Mrs M is here". He frowned I shrugged.

We sat down and waited quite a long time, I decided to take Toothless's saddle off for the plan he kept refusing.

"Toothless". I said.

Suddenly Mrs McCarthy, lady Felicia and Sid came into the house. Sid was so happy to see Father brown.

"Father, your back". Sid said. "Where was he?". Sid asked.

"Oh he was up in the countryside". I replied.

Mrs McCarthy and Lady Felicia were also happy that he was back.

"But I must ask you something". Father brown said interrupting them. "What do you say if I made the Inspector find me?".

"What do he can have all the credit?". Sid said the father nodded.

As Father Brown was telling his plan, I got Toothless's saddle off him, he was not happy with me. I was also trying to remember how to get it on. The others all understood their part of the plan.

"Alright then, that sounds like a good plan". Sid said. "Let's do this!".
