Chapter 3

Minori's pov:
"What do you think we should do?" I glanced behind me as I saw Toshiko frowning at the view. I sighed as I watched too. The black water stopped irrupting from the cracked grounds. I closed my eyes as I herd her speak again,
"Guess West district is down."
God, Nanami please be safe.
"Have we any orders?" I gently touched my sword's handle, which was by my waist. "People are already fleeing into this district and back out.. the only orders we have is to watch and alert if another attack comes" I nodded leaving my sword's handle alone. We were going to continue walking when I felt a vibration.

I jerked my head to see Toshiko already grabbing her communicator. She called our commander,"THERE'S ANOTHER ATTACK COMING!" We were all alerted through our own communicators,"tell the people to evacuate NOW! And keep them OFF for as long as you CAN we can't afford the south to end as the West!" Another officer, Sayuri, came with her microphone and shouted,
"EVERYONE EVACUATE NOW!"
People started screaming as others argued, some even prepared to die saying their last prayers. I turned to see the black water breaking out from the cracks in the walls that were made by the vibration. Toshiko grabbed her sword and said, "Minori!" I nodded grabbing my sword and pointing it out towards the walls. Normal ranks won't help this time.

Tadashi's pov:
I woke up around the same time the girl did. I held my head as my senses were coming back while she stood up and went straight upstairs. I followed and as I caught up to her I saw her looking out a cracked window. She whispered "what in the world..." I approached the broken window only to look down at black water. I narrowed my eyes and said,"So the enemy has that type of power" the girl then said,"If we touch that.." we observed  as everything it touched burned or even exploded from the inside. I nodded and said,"should we move?" She nodded as a pair of bunny ears appeared.

Animal mimicry.

I then said,"so you can mimic animals?" She nodded and said,"lets go" as she turned around I stifled a laugh and said,"nice tail" "I know right? it looks better than your fucked up hair" I frowned at that but followed as I used gravitation for easier jumps. We went to one building to another as I noticed how the city was...rotting. I didn't see anyone, I couldn't hear anyone, and the electricity was still out. The government? They're probably down too. We jumped into a building where there seemed to have used to be some sort of technology area. Maybe a security room? Dunno.

I walked around and said,"Everything's still down?" The girl responded irritated,"Yes. Nothing is working." I turned to her,"ah, my apologies, my name's Tadashi" "Nanami" "Salami?" "Don't you start with me!" she threatened. I laughed and said,"well then.. with this water roaming around we won't be able to manage off of anything else but the-" I stopped as she raise her finger. She walked to a hole in which seemed like it was blasted into the wall and looked down. She spoke,"its gone" I cocked my head,"Gone?" She nodded as I approached. The water really was gone. I kicked a brick that was just laying there and it seemed to just hit hard ground. I hummed and said,"it really did go away" there was silence so I looked up to see a very shocked Nanami.

Nanami's pov:
The black water was gone...but as I looked up I only saw what looked like, an abandoned district. I've herd of areas being abandoned.. some even ran out of electricity but this, this was a whole district. Everything was either rotting or still falling apart. Just how many attacked? Why did I knock out again? I looked at Tadashi,"how long were we knocked out?" "You said there's no electricity how can I tell you?" I rolled my eyes and said,"right."
I looked up to see far into the other district... there was smoke. Pitch black smoke. I then said,"hey Tadashi... is that.." he looked at the walls and nodded,"south wall..." he then walked out of the building's hole and started walking up the building causing me to jump a bit, though I wasn't sure if it was his power or.."Amusing don't you think?" He continued walking upwards. I ignored him and tried making my phone work again. I felt my heart race as the smoke continued. I herd sirens in the far distance boom. I looked up as I herd Tadashi whistle and said,"North is under attack...shit. Just what the fuck are the attackers aiming for?"
