Chapter 18

Minori's Pov:

There was no doubt this group is odd. They're all somehow immensely strong, it seemed as long as they were together they had not to worry. I then decided to ask first, "May I ask just who exactly you four are?" Daisuke and Zen turned to look at me as they continued walking in front, then they simply returned to arguing. Hikaru spoke up, "Who are we you may ask?" She asked as she walked backwards to face us. She gave us a sly smirk as her eyes beamed, "We call our group, the Dragon Squad" My eyes widened at that. Then we arrived to some weird dark looking area. We walked in and took cover there, paying not much attention to the cracked grounds and dusty walls. Hikaru continued, "Are you three familiar with dragons?" Toshiko quickly answered, "They're like.. Gods!" She nodded and said, "Well since you know that.." She glanced at the two males.

Daisuke turned to Zen who had been glaring at him as he yelled, "Won't you quit glaring at me?!" "Make me!" Both males glared at each other immensely. I then asked, "Are you saying.. they're dragons?"Both males turned to me right after I asked. Zen huffed as he crossed his arms and said, "Yep." Lawliet rolled his eyes as he prepared his cards commenting, "Here we go again.." Zen then breathed out fire as he said, "I am the fire dragon! Inheriting the fire dragon powers!" I turned to Daisuke who simply watched as the red haired male showed off his fire. "You're the water dragon?" I asked pointing at him, he nodded in response but Zen didn't stay quiet. "Tch, water dragon my ass. Fire is the main shit" He smirked and I rolled my eyes. Sayuri then asked, "I'm sorry.. but how did you two-" Zen interrupted, "Meet? Well this bastard needed my help. Seeing him beg for my help I decided to help hi-" He was backhanded by Daisuke as he said, "Our households do not get along. In fact, my house despises him. He only inherited the power for simply being the older brother. I had to prove myself" Toshiko got up and asked rather excitedly, "S-so do you know all type of water powers?" Daisuke nodded and said, "Surprisingly.." She hummed and said, "So you all formed how?" Hikaru looked at me and said, "I worked for Daisuke in his household. Lawliet worked for Zen in his household. It was just unfortunate for our dragons to have met. But we agreed to help each other survive and then go our own ways again." Sayuri asked, "I see.. it's very surprising to see dragon powers still existing." I nodded narrowing my eyes at the ground before me. I stared hard into it's cracks and broken dusted part. This reign was torn down by the invasion of the demons. To know dragons still exist, they too will find out. What will happen then? I sighed, not being able to control something.. what do you do? Get rid of it. I looked up to see my friends talking to the 'Dragon squad.' Will they be targeted?

I shook my head at that, Lawliet asked, "What's wrong?" I looked up and asked him, "What do you four intend on doing?" He looked at Zen as he said, "I only follow Zen, whatever he and Daisuke agree on is what we will act upon." I furrowed my brows as I turned to him, "You don't know what you're all doing next?" He chuckled as he sat back, "Of course I know. Zen talks to me, even if he doesn't seem like the reasonable type.. for some reason.." He swallowed as he glanced at Daisuke, "Around Daisuke.. he seems to reason more.. and carefully acts near him" He tapped his chin as if to be in thought, "Perhaps it has to do with the fact that they're both dragons?" I shrugged and said, "Haven't you thought of the demons? What will they do when they see Daisuke and Zen?" "They already have. Frankly, I think they'll try kidnapping them, but kidnapping a dragon is one of the most hardest things to pull off." I looked at Toshiko who happily showed her powers to Daisuke. "But with two dragons.. it becomes even harder. That is why we teamed up.." "Are there any more Dragons?" "Not that we know of.. But there are Gods" I narrowed my eyes, "Gods hu.." "I guess immortals can be specified as Gods too.. though it'd be hard to kill them that doesn't mean they can't be killed" I tilted my head flinching when I felt a sudden heat expand through the room. Zen had placed a fire to warm us up and Daisuke had placed a barrier to support the fire and protect us. He huffed as he said, "Only immortals can kill immortals" I nodded as I saw how both dragons had some sort of magnetic connection. They're brought closer with the desire of wanting to protect their team. Dragons are so odd...

I suddenly got a chill as I stood up with wide eyes. I caught all of their attention. I gripped my arms feeling something strange run cold within me. Hikaru then asked, "Minor honey? What's wrong?" I shook my head as I gave out a shaky breath. "N-no.. it's nothing.." My legs felt weak as they gave out and allowed me to fall to my knees. I continued to breathe shakily not knowing why the hell I couldn't stop the shaking. Toshiko asked, "Minori.. this not nothing.. what's wrong?" I shook my head finding even my hair to be cold, "I said it's nothing." They allowed me to have my own time to calm down.

But I failed to notice the two dragons glancing at each other and nodding.

Kioshi's Pov:

Natume and me were waling towards the training hall as Nanami and her squad had requested to be given time to train. But as we arrived Natsume froze a bit. His fingers curled into his shirt as he gave out a heavy like breath. I felt the sting too but I chose to counter it with my own blood. In other words, I was unaffected. I walked ahead as I said, "I'll see you in there" He gave a shaky response, "N-No.." He stood up and quickly caught up as he finished his sentence, "It's all good now." I nodded but as we opened the door we saw Nanami on the ground as she gripped her stomach, eyes tightly shut as he breath was slow and deep. My eyes widened as I ran to her. Natsume then said, "Kaori too!" He ran to her and I stood in front of the wincing Nanami. I watched as she was loosing conscious. I crouched down and said, "Oi..." She couldn't even hear me. As much as I hated to admit it, I told Natsume, "There's more of us.." Natsume carried Kaori bridal style as he said, "Don't say that.." I grabbed Nanami and making sure no one was around to notice, I used the air around to lift her up slightly. I scanned her and then placed her back down. "She's in." Natsume turned and said, "Is it really the best option to leave them here?" I nodded, "Tadashi will understand." He placed Kaori down and made two force field around both of them. "Kioshi..." I nodded as I watched Nanami, "Their both carry those traits." I looked down as I narrowed my eyes. Nanami has a twin sister.. if they're closely related as their said to be then... I closed my eyes.

That can't be right.. can it?

Nanami's Pov:

"Oi hurry the hell up and wake up already." I squinted my eyes as I slowly opened them. The brightness bothered me.. what is this? I sat up. "Finally!" "Oh shut up.." "Make me" I looked down to see on my left, the side was white, on my right, the side was black, both having their own glows. I looked up confused as both sides were nothing but their own endless colors. I looked up to see two figures looking identical, standing next to each other. Though the only difference was their masks. One wore white while the other wore black. I squinted my eyes. The one in black wears a white mask? The one in white wears a black mask? "Stop staring like that.. it's rude" I blinked and stared even more not knowing how to respond. "Uhm.." The white masked figure crouched down never crossing to the white side.

"It's been a while... Nanami."
