Chapter 5

Nanami's pov:
I watched as night passed by. The stars all visible yet...I didn't see it so beautiful. Minori used to tell me stories about them, I don't really know where she gets them from. We've been together from the very start. Aha..we were both very energetic, but somehow I became what she calls 'lazy'. Hmm, anime and manga take lots of thinking..I'm burning calories with my mind. I'm sure that's posible..maybe.
Still maybe she got them at work? Yeah..maybe her co-worker To...Tosh..Toshiko was it? Yeah maybe she tells her. I couldn't help but think of Minori. I know she's a patrolling officer but... does that mean she was in the front lines? But so then...they should've had victory. To not have victory means she's....She's alive and I know it. She's not allowed to die.

I sighed as I saw the sun rise. I titled my head and got up deciding to find more food, since the one I found was already out of date. Which makes me question why the hell it's not in the garbage can. I looked in the semi torn shelves but found them empty. My stomach was growling and because of my power...I can become savage.. but I'm very well in control of it. Since I didn't find anything I walked back to the group. I saw Kaori was waking up. "Wow you're up early" she looked at me and said,"It's better early in a situation like this, don't you think?" I nodded. I saw Tadashi was still asleep so I yelled at him causing him to whine. "Why the hell are you so mean to me?" "Why the hell are you such a hassle" "look who's talking" "I stayed up as guard" "hmm" he got up and after a while of waking up fully we all got on the move again.

I looked at the sky..it was still a bit dark from all the smoke. I tried turning my phone on but nothing worked. I looked at Kaori as she kept looking around. "Looking for Zenix?" She nodded. Tadashi sighed and said,"can't you guys just whistle for your pet or something?" Kaori nodded but I shook my head,"no, Hasukī isn't that well trained." We continued walking towards the South, the crunching of glass and sticks beneath our feat with each step we take. Tadashi said,"I don't think it's a good idea to be out in the open" "Why not?" "You never know what may come out" I thought about it and said,"But this way we could be found.." He shrugged and said,"fi-" there was a sound echoing nearby. To me it sounded like a motor. But there's..no electricity. We got ready for combat when we saw a motorcycle making a turn towards us. The user was driving at very high speed. From what I could see it was a shiftable motorcycle, black with glowing blue outlines. Behind them followed something that sounded like it was stopping yet...mechanical? The user made sign to move out of the way.

Out from the corner of a fallen building, ran a giant robot with tall thick legs, the knees of it bending backwards, it must be able to jump. Wires were intertwined connecting to different areas. Tubes bent in certain ways. On different parts of its legs it had some strange glowing substance. The upper part all robotic with a glowing blue circle in the middle. Behind on its shoulders it had 2 tanks of the liquid. Black smoke escaped faster out of a tube near the tanks, as it accelerated its running. It's eyes big and round, glowing the same color as the substance. It's arms had guns designed into its structure, as bellow on its legs it had knife looking weapons attached all around it. It let out a mechanical scream as it launched itself desperately trying to reach the user.

Tadashi and I got into battle stance. I used my power, choosing a lion to enhance me. My gloves glowed on the fingerless parts as they grew claws. My tail and ears appearing, as well as a thicker hood appeared on my sweater. My boots growing claws at the tips.

The robot started shooting at the user but they simply kept dodging the bullets. Once the user past us I stomped on the ground making it unstable for the robot. But it only jumped high and landed in front of me creating a dent. I used this opportunity and clawed at its legs. The robot fell down but aimed at me using his gun hands. Before they could even hit me the bullets stopped and flew back at it. Taking it's guns out. I didn't take the time to feel confused, I jumped high and kicked its head, my claws strong enough to rip it off and cause it to explode.
