Chapter 15

Kaori's pov:
I stood across from Kioshi.

He's 3rd in Armed combat aka weapon combat. I used a ribbon I had to tie up my hair. Once that was done I shifted my swords into position. I took a deep breath as I looked at my swords. Golden handles stopping once it's blue blades stretched out, like fierce crystals. I haven't exactly used them on a person. I lightly squeezed the handles as I looked up.

The white haired boy stood looking calm as always. Although he's younger than me, I shouldn't underestimate him. I listened to the rules being explained:
"This is the A.C trial. Armed Combat. In this trial your skills with weapons will be evaluated. This trial ends when one opponent forfeits, unable to go on, or when the time limit is up."

The countdown began.

5
I stared ahead.
4
He hasn't taken out his weapons yet...
3
I gripped my sword handles tighter. As I watched him reaching behind him.
2
He slowly pulled his hands back in front.
1
He held dagger like weapons, connected behind him by chains. A chain scythe.

I got in stance, will he attack..? He was spinning his blade around with the chain as if waiting for me to make the first move. I narrowed my eyes and charged. As I approached him I decided to attack with a side swing. I swung my sword to his left side as he simply stepped back dodging it. He looked unfazed. I tried swinging again, this time to his right while quickly swinging to his left with my other sword. He dodged again. Still spinning his blade with his right hand. I narrowed my eyes. I guess I shouldn't go easy on him.

I swung my swords multiple times and he continued dodging. "Why... why do you keep dodging?!" I high jumped and slammed my swords down. He side stepped. I sighed and pointed my sword towards him. I lightly bent my knees preparing to speed up my attacks. I charged at him with full speed. Our blades collided. I smirked seeing he can't dodge anymore. He still kept his bored expression on. I then swung my other sword towards him but he simply stopped my attack with his left blade. I then pressed forwards in which he slid his blades above my blades and launched himself upwards while throwing me forwards. I quickly regained balance and looked up to see him looking down at me. I prepared to attack him once he landed but he suddenly slid his hands to his chains.

The scythe blades drooped loosely. Before I could even realize his attack he spun his chains around him, making the first blade collide against my blade. My eyes widened once I noticed his attack was strong enough to shove me back about 5 feet. My swords were formed in an x position, my form of defense. I gritted my teeth and was about to move out of defense when the next blade clashed down. I closed my eyes at the sudden clash. Reopening them to find I was shoved back again. I looked up from my swords to see he wasn't in the air anymore.  Before I could even look around, I yelped as a sharp pain was at my back. As if I was slashed across my right shoulder blade down below to my left side. My teeth clenched at the pain. I turned around to see him spinning around his chains. His two scythe blades in his left hand. He attacked with his chain. I touched my back and was surprised I didn't have a cut. I narrowed my eyes as I raised my swords, that just means he can harm with any part of his weapon. I charged again, this time I thrusted my right sword and under swung my left sword. I was shocked when he deflected my attack with just his chains. I jumped back in case he attacked. He sighed and said, "Don't be scared to go all out" I straightened my position. He's right...

I ran towards him at full speed, I swung my sword in which he ducked making me quickly take action on kicking below. He jumped making me swing my other sword. He landed on my blade pushing it back and boosted himself upwards once again. This time I chased after him. I bent my knees and jumped to his level. I swung as soon as I reached him. He smacked my attack away with his right scythe. I quickly threw my other sword. He clashed his left scythe with it throwing it back down. I took this as my chance before falling back down, to attack while his blades were still occupied. I slid my sword away from his blades and towards him. He stopped it with his chains. I gritted my teeth, I forgot about his stupid chains.
As we bagan falling down, he let go of the chains quickly sliding his hands to his scythes. I flinched as he already held his blades in his hands in just a blink. He then collided his right blade against my sword immediately throwing it down. I had no defense. He then smacked me to the wall with his chains making me scream in pain. This time the smack was harder.
