Chapter 17

Minori's pov:
The sky was gray.

I looked around as Toshiko and Sayuri silently followed. We were chased by three demons, after Toshiko had foolishly exposed us. When we finally lost them we started looking for others. ANYONE. We just wanted to assure we weren't the only ones in this abyss. But no matter where we went there just seemed to be no sign of life. Sayuri had been trying to contact others but the electricity still hasn't come back on. I narrowed my eyes, these demons are definitely after something. To keep arriving where we are is a sign of being watched. But if the electricity isn't working how the hell can they... electric users. I sighed at the realization. Of course.. I crossed my arms as Sayuri silently asked, "I've tried scanning but nothing is working" Toshiko agreed, "Same here.. do you think someone is playing us?" I nodded, "Of course what else could explain this?" She walked towards me but stopped when a loud crack echoed through the area. We turned to see a building releasing smoke. "There! Do you think..." Sayuri summoned speed boots as she said, "It's worth to find out" with that we rushed towards the noise. As we got closer I could hear explosions and the ground cracking. But we suddenly everything moved slowly, it was as if we were going in slow motion.

Suddenly, we herd the clicking of heals. As we slowly looked up we saw two people approaching. One had orange red heals, black thigh high socks, half black and half orange dress with triangular cut out pieces on the black side, tied with an orange obbie. Their sleeves were long. behind the body was silver hair, their face beautifully decorated with make up, the silver matching both hair and eyes, their eyelashes brought out by the black whatever make up they used, as their eyelids were colored light purple.

The other person wore a long jacket in which was the colors black and gold, knee length black boots decorated with a tassel, black jeans in which were decorated with loose red suspenders hanging down, a gray shirt, and black gloves. The guy had blond hair, longer hair and bangs on the left side as he had shorter hair on the right side. The blond shook his head and told the slvernette, "They're not demons" The silvernette walked towards us, the heals were making light sounds on the dusted ground. A smile appeared on the light pink lips as the words, "That's good to hear I'm-" A loud explosion came from out left as two teams jumped into the air and aimed at us. The blond sighed and said, "Those block heads!" He flipped a card in his fingers and allowed us to move again in which we instantly halted. I then said, "Toshiko, Sayuri!" Toshiko rolled her eyes as Sayuri nodded. We stood by the two, deciding to help out.

The silvernette said, "Awe, how sweet of you" Then pulled out a crystal sword. As the demons shot their attacks their powers were obvious. Fire and Air. The crystal sword deflected the attack as the blond pulled out more cards shuffling them skillfully as if waiting for his turn. The silvernette jumped at an amazing speed already reaching their eye level. Then spun the sword breaking a wind current shoving both demons to the ground. There the magician spread his cards on his hand as his eyes narrowed. Sayuri and Toshiko were getting ready to attack when the blond said, "Please stand back, this is my prey" As soon as the dust cleared up he threw four cards trapping a demon. It was the air one. She laughed as she spat out black blood. She wiped her blood and smiled showing her fangs as she the blond simply pulled out a card and threw it in front of her, she looked down to see chains come out of it and wrap themselves around her. She tried to pull away but soon found it useless. He then said, "Now then, shall we get to the painful part?" the demon laughed as the fire one launched himself at the blond but was kicked by the silvernette. I stepped back as the silvernette said, "Wanna deal with him? There are more on their way" Sayuru slammed her hammer on him as she said, "Shouldn't we run then?!" The kimoto wearing silvernette simply giggled and said, "Of course not, at least not yet!" I saw the demon getting back up so I quickly extended my hand out and summoned multiple swords stabbing all of them into the demon. He yelled as Toshiko beheaded him. By the time he burned away the demon the blond was dealing with was already deceased.
