Chapter 7

Tadashi's pov:

"Not really..." my jaw dropped to his response. He waved it off and said,"I've seen better" I frowned and said,"Oh? but that was only a sample of my ability, just wait for more robots to show up, I'll-" "Don't. Even. Say. That." He narrowed his eyes at me. I just looked away and muttered,"Whatever" He sighed and said,"It's not that I don't want to see your ability...I just prefer to do my work efficiently." I nodded and said,"I can see that... but what are we even retrieving?" He walked off as I followed,"You'll see"

We continued walking in the building as we walked out through some other hole, this time it lead to the streets. He continued walking calmly something I wasn't doing. The robot was an alarm for me. We walked in silence, only the light breeze blowing a few broken bits from the buildings and sticks. The faded sunlight keeping us company do to some smoke that was still up in the air. I looked at Kioshi, the breeze playing with his white hair. Despite his older bother having purple hair and his sister having purple hair-only white at the tips, his hair was completely white. The purest of white. Not a single trace of purple..besides his eyes. Which I found Ironic since Masaru has silverish eyes yet Hitomi has blue eyes. I sighed and looked at the broken ashy ground, when another thought came in mind.

"Hey Kioshi" He looked at me from his side. "Since you and your siblings are related are your powers related too?" He looked ahead making me frown but it faded when he answered,"In a way" I nodded. Just then he stopped, causing me to almost bump into him. He then said,"It's in there" he pointed at the building in front of us. It looked like it was about to tumble down, the breeze was able to make some of it's dust fly out. I looked at him and said,"Shall we go then? I mean before it falls?" He looked around and said,"It's strange.." "That there's no robots?" He nodded and said,"Let's do this silently.. I'm sure they're somewhere here.." I looked ahead as we continued walking into the building.

We walked in, I almost walked back out when I saw the ground crack at just our weight. We walked to some ladders that led upstairs. I then said,"What type of building is this?" "It was a storage place of some sort" We began climbing up, I looked around as most things were covered in dust, some lightly burned... Which I found odd. I suppose confusion was written on my face since Kioshi explained, "After the center of the West district was set on fire, small little explosive metal balls exploded in the air causing gusts of winds to burst around...some strong enough to slit buildings in half.. others like this one.. were dented from some area." He stopped and pointed at the deformed floor when we passed by it. "Airwaves still blew near and somehow ashed the materials as well as blowing a few ember particles insde" As we arrived to the third floor I thought about the attack in which I was interrupted when Kioshi said,"Ah, there it is" He walked to where a putout fire was at. He looked through a cabinet and took out a small bag. I looked around and saw that the room was full of cabinets and tall shelves. He looked in the bag and nodded to himself and said,"Got it" I asked,"What's in it?" He smiled at me as the bag began to move. Something was in the bag! He sighed and said, "Well that and materials we'll be needing." "Mind telling me exactly what that is?" "You'll see" I was interested but held it in as I watched him walk towards the wall and looked out a small circular window.

His face scrunched up and said,"I knew it was too good to be true" I take it there are robots outside. He looked at me and shrugged,"At least it's not them" I was going to ask what he mean by 'them', when he pressed his metal wrist band and spoke,"We got it" On the other line I herd Hitomi say,"Good. I sent the coordinates now just follow them. I also sent them to Blue, just in case." "Alright." The call ended and he set the bag down, pulling out a small blue electrical looking cat. It's eyes flared a lighter shade of blue. I then said,"So we came to rescue a pet?" "Not just any kind. She's an electric type as you can see, she helps us recharge and travels quickly by currents if ordered to." I raised my eyebrows and said,"So it follows orders?" he nodded slowly and said,"If that's the way you want to see it then.. yes-and her name is Blue" He swung the bag over his shoulder as the cat jumped to his shoulder and wrapped itself around his neck, it seemed to have shifted to some electrical scarf. He pet the electric..thing.. and walked towards the wall. He turned to me and said,"Well.. shall we be going?" I was going to answer when I instead asked,"Are we busting through them?" He looked at me and said,"Not unless one of them spots us." "Huh..I see.."He pushed the wall gently as it easily fell down. He then said,"You said you're very well at using Gravity?" "You know it" "What stage?" I gently touched my collar's gem, before I could say anything he said,"So then, this should be quick." With that he jumped off I quickly ran to the wall and jumped out right behind him. My eyes widened at the amount of robots ahead of us.

Minori's Pov:

"Yeah...I can." There was silence -aside from the growling- . Toshiko stood up as Sayuri said,"We'll speak of this after. Minori, guide us out of here." "Of course" I walked forwards as I said,"Time check?" Toshiko grunted,"We have 3 minutes to get as far as we can." I nodded and said,"When you hear the second hit run straight as fast as you can."  They nodded and prepared to run. I raised my sword and ran at the water like creatures. They snarled and dared to bare their disgusting teeth at me. I narrowed my eyes and quickly slit their heads. Now for my second hit I aimed for their bodies and ended up slamming my sword into the wall, causing it to echo. At that sound Toshiko and Sayuri ran forwards throwing a bit of water behind. I followed behind them as I counted seconds in my head.

1... There was no sound but the steps of my two comrades.

2... Herd some gurgles in the water behind us.

3... The gurgles soon turned into gurgling growls

4... I looked behind me to see the red eyes beginning to slip towards a rising circle.

5... The rising area was rising more, a deformed blob beginning to take form.

6... The dog like creatures began to run again

So it takes six seconds. I turned around and swung my sword down at the water making the water rush at the creatures. But it wasn't effective in any way. I then shouted,"Hurry!" At this rate we should have 2 or 1 minute to escape. The creatures moved quicker making me grip my sword's handle. Once they were beginning to launch themselves I swung my sword once again. This time releasing energy into the water. The creatures exploded but took no minute to form back. I Gritted my teeth when Toshiko yelled,"Damnit! There's no opening in sight! AGH! I hate this!" I yelled back,"Run faster!" I looked ahead and she was right. There was just an endless black in front of us. She then said,"What if this is a dead end with no exit?!" Sayuri however, quickened and said,"Then we'll just have to make one!" With that we all quickened. Toshiko yelled,"30 SECONDS!"

The creatures began using the water to their advantage. I quickly turned to face them at the exact moment they all decided to launch themselves at me. I smirked and tossed my sword in front of them. With that I continued running only turning around to see my sword glow from the tip of the blade to the bottom of it's handle. I looked forwards as I saw a dead end. My sword finished it's attack causing the creatures to stay behind.

Toshiko suddenly yelled,"DEAD EN-"Sayuri cut her off yelling,"MOVE IT!" With that she swung her shield in which shifted to the gigantic one, smashing the ground above us. Once the hole was created Toshiko jumped out with Sayuri following behind. I ran faster and jumped out, landing above safely. Once the dust cleared up, we looked around.....we were in a... arena? We all silently cussed when we herd slow clapping.

???'s Pov:

"Easy there.. You'll be healthy in no time." I watched the phoenix relax it's wings as it settled near me. It's fire softening at my voice, seems like this phoenix is eager to find someone. I relaxed my head on the wall as I leaned on it, watching the phoenix walk around. I glance at it's injured wings, it was trouble trying to heal him at first but we're almost there. I wonder who it's looking for... Whoever it is, must have really gained it's loyalty.  I looked out the window and saw the destroyed buildings around. After a moment of silence the phoenix rubbed it's head on my leg. I looked down and ruffled it's head, admiring it's flames in which dance around in it's feathers, never ceasing to burn for the slightest second.
My eyes averted from it's flames when I was called.
