Chapter 10

Kaori's pov:

I felt the steam of ice begin to radiate off of my hands. I placed my right hand in front of me as more ice steam began to swirl around me. I watched the robots getting closer so I aimed carefully. I shot an ice beam watching it go right through the first robot and the second robot. The robot fell down causing the injured one behind it to stumble down. The rest of the robots continued to run past them and towards me. I took a brief look at all of them. There was seven more to go.

I lit my fist on fire as it swirled around my arm. I took a quick breath as they came within range. I ran at the first robot under punching it, letting the fire at my fist explode. As the robot fell I lit my right leg on fire and swung a kick sending it back into the robot behind it. As I did so a robot launched itself at me, I quickly side stepped. Before it even yelled it's annoying mechanical scream, I ran my fist into it's jaw flinging it to the left. I took the chance to attack the other four robots. Two of them were already preparing to shoot me. I smirked as I ran behind one of them, I slowly raised my hand making some plants grow out and intersect with all the wires, when they started shooting at me I used wind to give me a boost. I quickly attacked one from behind and managed to dodge the coming bullets. The robot's arm spun as more bullets were... being created? Before I could even confirm my thought I herd a couple of gun clicking sounds. As I turned around I was face to face with multiple guns. My eyes widened as it spun, I quickly blasted a mix of fire and wind around me, melting the robot's gun holes along with some of its face. The wind knocking it back, I narrowed my eyes at the half melted robot as I pointed my left fist directly at it. Without effort I released another blast of fire letting it melt the whole robot.

I turned back around to see about three robots getting back up. I gritted my teeth remembering just how stupid I must've been to have not heard such noisy robots approach me. I clenched my fists as fire swirled around me. The robots began shooting even more bullets making my fire grow. I sprinted to one of them and kicked them right in the center, though my fire must've been uncontrolled since I melted the whole robot without intentions to do so. I brushed it off and threw a blast of strong pressured wind to the robot nearest to me. I jumped on it as I slammed fire into the center. As it fell I jumped and slammed my left leg on the next robot's tanks. The liquid fell making the robot's movements slower each second. I landed on the ground safely, my fire calming down as I brushed the dust off the front of my clothing.

I turned around to see a smiling Nanami. She waved and said, "Woah, doc got some skills!" I laughed as I shook my head. As I got onto my motorcycle Tadashi commented, "Your fire..." "Hmm?" I looked up to see begin to drive away. I shrugged it off as I caught up with the group. Hitomi then said, "That wasn't necessary." She turned to look at me, "But thanks anyways" She then continued driving, once again leading us to who knows where. I felt uneasy of my actions. Was it wrong for me to eliminate them? Where my actions misunderstood for showing off? Was I supposed to wait for some command or signal? Oh... Oh my. I held my head as we continued driving smoothly. I felt light headed. All this over thinking really isn't good for me. We finally stopped at another abandoned building. I looked at Nanami who simply shrugged. Hitomi and Masaru both got off and walked inside the building. I then looked at Tadashi who simply shrugged at me and Nanami. They both stared at Kioshi, I could sense them staring hard at his back. I felt a sweat drop as they leaned in his direction.

Nanami's pov:

Maybe if I stare hard enough he'll turn around. I narrowed my eyes when I noticed Tadashi using his legs to slowly get closer to Kioshi. Oh hell no. I got closer ignoring Tadashi's glare. Blue, who was wrapped around Kioshi's neck turned to see us but soon went back to sleeping. As we both slowly moved closer Kioshi suddenly said, "Can you NoT?" Tadashi spoke before I could, "Oh yes I can." With a small genetic enhancement on my foot, I pushed myself smoothly all the way to Kioshi. "Why are we here?" Kioshi only continued to look forward as he said, "I... I don't know" I frowned, "How do you not know?" His eyes narrowed as he continued staring off, "I just don't. okay?" I sighed as Tadashi said, "So your sister is always in charge?" "If that's the way you see it then sure" "Well how do you see it?" "She's just leading us to safety" "So she's.. the leader?" "Sure" I spoke my turn, "Hey Kioshi.. do your siblings make plans without you or is it because we're here?" He sighed hiding his face in his crossed arms which laid on top of his motorcycle. Blue's strange flowing electricity sparking a bit, I took that as the sign to back down on that topic.
