Stuck in Naruto!: Team Minato

Chapter 4 - Team Seven

Murasaki's POV:

I didn't realize how long that training session took. It's ought to be past dinner time now. I decided to cook up the fish and vegetables that I had bought earlier. As I was eating, I then realized how lonely I felt as I ate in silence. Back at home I was used to James blabbing on about Naruto episodes to our parents at the dinner table. That thought made me really miss him.

After I finished dinner, I did my nighttime routine, then quietly entered my room. I then spotted my backpack sitting in the corner. " I'm going to try something." I thought as I walked over to my backpack. I opened my backpack and pulled out my laptop. Then I opened it. To my surprise, it actually worked here, the wifi was actually pretty good too. After a few minutes of looking at my laptop, I realized how tired I was. I put away my laptop, climbed in bed and fell into a dreamless sleep.

" Hmm...?" I murmured to myself, barely waking up.

My eyes suddenly widened when I realized what day it was. Today I would start ninja training! I immediately shot out of bed to do my morning routine. I brush my teeth, comb my hair, and get dressed into my new ninja attire.

"I hope I'm not late." I tell myself.

I grab an apple to eat on the way there. As, I open my door I see Kakashi a few feet ahead of me. 

" Hey! Kakashi wait up!" I call to him as I run over.

" Why are you following me?" he asked, seeming the slightest bit annoyed.

" Well, cuz I have no idea where to go to meet up with my team. And you are also on my team." I answer him smiling.

" How would you know that we are on the same team?" Kakashi asked narrowing his eyes at me.

" Huh? Oh, I just know, that's all." I smile cheekily at him.

He looked like he was about to say something, but it looked like he thought the better of it because he kept his mouth shut. 

" Aren't you already a Chunin or something?" I ask him after a few minutes.

" Yeah." he replied.

The rest of the way was awkward and we both walked in silence. I soon realized that we had arrived at some training grounds. I then saw Rin Nohara and Minato waiting for us. I had a little fangirl moment inside because Rin was one of my favorite characters.

" Oh! Kakashi, Murasaki! Your here! Now we just have to wait on one more." said Minato as he spotted us.

Kakashi gave me a look with his eyes slightly widened. I just stuck my tongue out at him and said, " Told ya so!" 

He just rolled his eyes.

" Heh, Obito is late just like he will always be."  I thought to myself.

Kakashi, Rin and Minato all turned their heads to me, eyes wide with shock.

" You know Obito?" Rin asked.

" You just got here. How would you know Obito, and also predict that he will be on our team? Let alone, also know his habit of being late?" Kakashi asked, eyeing me suspiciously. 

" Uhhh... Did I really say that out loud?" I asked them.

They all nodded.

" Well.... I know a lot of things." I said quickly.

Just as I said that Obito burst through the trees and said, " Sorry I'm late! I was walking someone's dogs!"

" Sure you were." Kakashi mumbled.

I just giggled to myself.

" Okay, now that you are all here, we can introduce ourselves. I'll start." Minato said, " My name is Minato Namikaze and I really like my wife's cooking." 

He then pointed at Rin signaling for her turn. 

" I'm Rin Nohara, and I like collecting shells in my free time." Rin said, introducing herself.

Kakashi went next.

" My name is Kakashi Hatake and I guess I like to read." Kakashi stated.

" The name's Obito Uchia, and I'm going to be the first Uchiha Hokage! Obito said smiling.

" Okay... well I guess its my turn then." I said. " I'm Murasaki Tanaka and I want to be a ninja well known by all the five great nations!" I exclaimed.

" Okay now that we all know each other a little bit better, we can start training." Minato announced.

" We will be doing hand to hand combat. No jutsu. First up is Kakashi versus Murasaki." Minato said, looking at both of us.

I started to panic inside my head. " Ahhh! What? I don't know any combat moves!"

But I had no choice. We both got into position, and I heard Minato say, " You may begin!"

Kakashi did not hesitate. He Immediately threw a kunai at me, aimed right at my chest. My body reacted on its own, catching the kunai, and sending it right back at him. I would have been surprised, but there was no time for that. He dodged the kunai by jumping to his left. Kakashi and I started running towards each other. He aimed a punch at my face but I caught his fist. He broke out of my grip and then went at me again.

We exchanged punches and kicks for about thirty minutes. It then ended when we both held kunai to each other's necks, signaling a tie. " You both did well, now you two can sit in the shade and rest." Minato said to us, and giving us a nod of approval.

I let out a long sigh as I sat under a shaded tree. Kakashi sat next to me. 

" Obito versus Rin next!" Minato announced to us. 

I saw Obito look a little reluctant as they started. It was probably due to his massive crush on Rin. By the looks of it, he was going to go easy on her.

Kakashi and I didn't really pay attention to their spar, because we were both too tired to care.

" You were better than I thought you would be." Kakashi suddenly said, " How did you get so good?" 

" Oh. I don't really know. It was more like my body just took over for me." I said while looking up at the clouds.

" Interesting." he said.

As he said that the match appeared to have ended in Rin's victory. I got up to congratulate her. Kakashi got up too.

" Alright, I think that's enough training for today. Go home and rest. Same time and place tomorrow." Minato said, dismissing us. 

Kakashi and I walked back to our houses together. When we reached them, we said goodbye, and I walked into my house. I went to my room and sat on my bed. 

" Now that I'm here in this world, I think I need to make plans and train harder, and to save Rin and Obito."
