Chapter 24 - Freeing Isobu

Kakashi's POV:

" Minato Sensei?" we asked in utter shock.

" Yes, it's me. Sorry I'm late once again. You can explain things later. Right now, we need to get Murasaki to a hospital." Sensei said as he eyed Obito and Murasaki in particular.

It surprised me how calm he was despite our current situation, with Obito actually being alive and Murasaki on the verge of death.

" Sensei? " asked Obito, " How did you get here?"

" He probably used that formulated kunai he gave to me for my Jonin promotion." I explained.

Minato Sensei nodded. He then walked over to Murasaki and gently picked up her body.

" I'm going to teleport us back to the village. Everyone grab on." said Minato.

We nodded obediently, and grabbed on.

Murasaki's POV:

" Hurry kid! You hear me? Wake up!" a voiced boomed.

My eyes  immediately shot opened. Wait... something was different. I looked down at my body. The hole wasn't there. I then looked back up to face Isobou.

" Oh, hey. Uhh, what's the hurry?" I asked, completely confused.

" You know how Madara is controlling me and set me to destroy the Leaf? I figured out a way to stop the attack!" he said quickly.

My eyes widened. " Really? How?"

" Well, you see these chains around my feet?," he said as he glanced down at his feet," They're like Madara's chakra keeping me in place. I was thinking that maybe you could get them off somehow." 

" Me? Break Madara's chakra? I just became a ninja several months ago, how could I possibly do it?" I asked. " Plus, he's on par with the first Hokage, I could never compare to him."

Isobu seemed to shrug. " I believe in you kid. What jutsus do you know?"

I looked down at my feet, slightly embarrassed. " Just one. It's a Fire Release. I call it Mystic Blue Fire..."

He seemed to be in deep thought for a few moments before speaking up. " I have an idea. You see all this water around us, right?"

I nodded.

" I was thinking that you could use your fire to heat up the chains, then we could splash water on them, gradually making them weaker and weaker."

" But what about Madara's chakra reinforcing it?" I asked uncertainly. 

" The chakra does make it stronger, but I think with enough effort, you can do it. Plus, you don't have to worry about running out of chakra because I can supply you with lots. You only need to crack one. Once you do that, I can do the rest myself."

" Oh, alright.... I guess I'll give it a try." I mumbled.

" Fire Style! Mystic Blue Fire!" I yelled as a blast of flames came out of my mouth. 

Moments after heating up the chains, I splashed water on it, immediately cooling it down. It didn't seem to do anything. 

Isobu seemed to notice the crestfallen look on my face, because he said, " Keep going kid, you can do it."

I nodded, feeling a little better, then continued. 

" Fire Style! Mystic Blue Fire!"

I splashed water on the chains.  

The process continued for what seemed like hours, even though I knew that I was in my consciousness and no time was passing in reality. 

I splashed water on the chain for what seemed like the thousandth time. The chain seemed to crack a little wider. 

" Hey, I think that does it.  You better stand back." 

I nodded, wiped the sweat off my forehead, then jumped several meters back. Isobu suddenly yanked his foot forward, snapping the chain in half. He repeated the process three more times with his other feet. 

" There, the Leaf Village is safe from Madara." Isobu said, sounding satisfied. 

" Are you sure?" I asked.

" Positive. Well, at least for now." he replied. 

Kakashi's POV

In a flash, we were standing in front of the Konoha hospital. Minato immediately ran inside the hospital carrying Murasaki, the three of us following closely behind.

" Hurry! My student needs a doctor, NOW!" Minato shouted to the doctors urgently. 

Just as he said that, nurses and doctors rushed out with a hospital bed and quickly took Murasaki away. After the doctors and Murasaki was out of sight, Minato started to head out of the door. When he realized that we weren't following him he turned around. 

" Are you guys coming?"

" But I thought we were going to wait for Murasaki." Rin told him.

" We have to report to the Hokage first. After we are done with that, I promise you three that we will come back, alright?" Minato said.

" Okay...." Obito muttered reluctantly.

I turned to the direction to where they took Murasaki away. I then followed Minato Sensei out the hospital. 

The four of us stood in front of the Hokage in his office, all worn out. 

" So I guess you four have something to explain." the Hokage said.

" Where do we start....?" I trailed off. 

Rin explained that she was about to get kidnapped, but then for some reason, Murasaki took her place. From there, I explained how Rin and I went looking for her and soon found her in a cave with a tailed beast sealed inside her. Lord Hokage and Sensei seemed surprised to hear this. Rin told them that we rescued her, but had to face Mist Black Ops. She also explained of how Murasaki jumped in front of my lightning blade. 

After hearing this, the Hokage nodded to himself, then turned to Obito, expecting him to explain himself. 

Obito told us how the boulders didn't kill him. He said that someone rescued him, but he refused to tell us who it was. He also told us that he was training his body to get stronger so that he could back to the Leaf.

After hearing all this information, nobody said anything for a while. 

" Murasaki is now housing the three tails...  I think it's best not to inform anyone outside of this room." the Hokage concluded. 

We nodded, and were dismissed. We then headed back to the hospital to see Murasaki. 

When we had gone through the hospital doors, we were greeted by a blonde woman with a diamond shaped seal on her forehead. So, this was Tsunade, one of the three Legendary Sanin. 

I glanced at Rin. Her eyes were glued to Tsunade. She looked as if she was looking at her idol, which she probably was. 

" You're the kid's Sensei?" she asked.

Minato nodded. 

" No need for introductions, we'll just skip right to the point. She's going through an operation right now. We're using artificial cells that will hopefully replace the hole in her body. She's extremely lucky that whatever hit her missed her heart." she explained.

Obito's gaze flickered to me, I just looked at my feet. 

" The operation success is around 50%" Tsunade informed. 

' What? That's half!' I silently panicked in my head. 

" I see, " said Minato Sensei, " I guess we will just have to wait."

Well, this was going to be the longest waiting I've probably ever done.
