Chapter 17 - Obito's Final Gift

Murasaki's POV:

I felt a searing pain from my wound. I let out a groan and slowly opened my eyes. 

" You guys alright..... Rin... Kakashi... Murasaki..." 

I slowly sat up, and turned to the direction of the voice. There, lying under a boulder, was Obito, right side completely crushed.

Kakashi let out a gasp." Obito!" 

Rin turned to look at Obito, her face was displayed with shock and horror.

Kakashi ran up to the boulder and attempted to push it off.

" Murasaki? Give me a hand!" Kakashi yelled desperatly.

I shook my head sadly. " It's no use Kakashi. There's no way we could move that boulder."

" But Murasaki! We have to-"

" Please don't. It's okay Kakashi. I don't...... I don't think I'm going to make it.... My right side is completely crushed....I can't even feel anything there anymore."

" No...."

Rin put her hand over her mouth, tears streaming down her face. " Obito... No! Not like this....why?"

Obito coughed up some blood. 

" Obito!"

I put my good hand on Rin's shoulder. '  I knew this was going to happen.... but.... experiencing it is different..... If everything works out, he'll still be alive..... but I still can't take it, the guy was my best friend.....'

I blinked away my tears. I needed to stay strong.

Kakashi dropped down onto his knees. 

" No! NO! Only if I'd come with you from the start like you told me to, this never would have happened!" Kakashi cried.

Kakashi and I weren't the closest of the team, but it still broke my heart to see him like this.

" So what if I'm captain now? So what if I was made Jonin?"

Obito weakly smiled. " Oh, that's right, I forgot..... I was the only one who didn't give you a gift.... for becoming a Joinin and being made captain... I thought about it, and didm't know what would be good... But don't worry. Remember what you said before...? I'm not going to give you something useless....," Obito slowly opened his eyes, " I'm giving you my sharingan."

Kakahsi and Rin's eyes opened wide in surprise.

" Whatever the village or anyone else may say, I think you're a great Jonin. It's true.... that's how I really feel..... Please accept this... Rin... please use your medical ninjutsu, and have my sharingan.... the whole eye.... transplanted to Kakashi's left eye...."

Rin wiped up her tears, a new look of determination in her eyes. " Kakashi, come quick. we have to do this now."

Kakashi was shaking all over.

" Kakashi, I'll be your eye... keeping watch over what the future brings for you...."

Kakashi looked up, looking a little bit more confident. " Rin, Obito, Murasaki, I think I'm ready."

Kakashi's POV:

Murasaki threw me a paper bomb, so we could blow a hole in the moutain of rocks trapping us. I snatched it up, placed it down, prepared to activate it.

" Get down!"

We all covered our heads.
