Stuck in Naruto!: Team Minato

Chapter 7 - Bell Training

Murasaki's POV:

" Alright, I think we should get started with training now." Minato says.

" Today we are doing bell training and -"

" Whah? Already?" I regret my words immediately covering my mouth.

Everyone gives me a confused look.

" Uh... Sorry go on." I apologize.

He nods and says, " Your only objective is to steal one of these bells from me." He says holding up three bells. "You may use any method you like."

" But sensei, there are only three bells and four of us." Rin says confused.

" That way ensures that one of you fail." he says simply.

Kakashi, Rin, Obito and I exchange a glance.

We all look at each other for a few moments before Minato yells, " Ready? Begin!"

We all scatter into the trees. I spot Kakashi about 10 meters to my left, and Rin and Obito 20 meters to my right. I slowly and quietly approach Kakashi. 

" Hey Kakashi. Do you want to team up?" I ask.

He looks at me and frowns. " I'd rather do this on my own."

" Hmph. Fine have it your way." I grumble before heading towards Rin and Obito's direction.

I catch up to them, and to me it looks as if they are already working together.

" Can I team up with you two?" I whisper. 

" Yeah sure!" Rin whispers back while Obito nods.

" So, what's the plan?" I ask them, although I already know it.

" Obito's going to attack Minato Sensei with his fire ball jutsu. If he manages to dodge, I've set a trap for him." says Rin.

" Great. So what do I do?" I ask.

" You attack with Obito." she replies.

I nod and say " Let's do this!"

We then all head off in Minato's direction. When we spot him a good distance away, Rin signals  for us to attack him. We don't hesitate.

"Fire style: Fire ball jutsu!"

" Fire style: Mystic blue fire!"

We both shout at the same time.

My blue fire entwines with his orange fire and heads straight for Minato. I catch him having a slightly surprised expression before he jumps from tree to tree to evade the fire. Before he lands on the ground, he throws shurikens straight at me and Obito. They almost hit us, barely grazing our clothes. The shurikens then hit the trees behind us.

" Ahhh!" Screams Obito flailing his arms around as he starts to loose his balance.

He falls backward and grabs my arm, making us both fall to the ground. We both fall on our butts next to each other.

" Ngh..." he groans sitting up.

" Ow..." I mumble rubing my forehead.

" Huh?" we both say at the same time.

We both glance above us, and there crouches Minato Sensei in a tree.

" You're done Obito, Murasaki." he says blankly.

" Darn it...." Obito pouts.

I however look towards Rin's direction and simile. 

She then cuts a rope and a huge log comes swinging towards Minato. While he was distracted, Obito throws a smoke bomb, allowing for us both to escape. Just as the log is about to hit him, Minato does a back flip into another tree, avoiding Rin's trap.

We then appear next to Rin who appears to have her gaze set ahead.

" Obito, Murasaki! There! Two o' clock!" she says.

" Right!" we both say as we quickly preform our hand signs.

" Fire style: Fire ball jutsu!"

"Fire style: Mystic blue fire!"

We then release our blazing flames straight towards Minato.

As they reach him, they fire explodes.

" Yes!" we all smile turning to each other.

But then, we heard the sounds of bells.

" Huh..?"

We all turn around and there stood Minato Sensei.

" Hm. Almost had me there." he says as he pulls one of his special kunai out from a tree next to him.

" But... Sensei... How did you..." Rin starts.

We all sigh and Obito says " Blew it again!"

Minato just looks at us proudly.

Minato's POV:

"Those three... They have really grown strong.... I'm impressed with their team work" I thought.

Murasaki's POV:

" And now for the next step...." Minato says looking around.

Just then a shuriken comes at him lightning fast, but he deflects it with his kunai.

" Kakashi!?" Rin and Obito say surprised while I just smile, already knowing what was going to happen. 

" Sensei, today's the day I win." Kakashi says confidently. " You've been hiding so long, was that your strategy?" Kakashi asks, jabbing his sword at Minato.

Kakashi ended up leading their fight further away so we were not able to witness much.

" Let's follow them." I say out loud.

"Right." reply Obito and Rin.

By the time we reach them, I spot Kakashi in a tree preparing his Lighting Blade. 

" Lightnig Blade? Huh." I say, but not loud enough for Kakashi to hear me.

Minato then teleports from behind Kakashi, telling him that he lost. 

Rin, Obito, and I take the opportunity to jump into the tree next to them.

" Aw come on Kakashi, cheer up. You can't win all of your battles." I say patting him on the head.

He didn't seem to hear me though, all he said was, " I was so close."
