'Sam, please tell me what happened. After you woke up.' Shaylynn says as she walks in and sits on the edge of the bed.
'The guy came back. Dad had gone to deal with Justin and mom was still at home. He came in and tried to take me from the hospital, he had told the nurses that he was my uncle. That's when Butch stepped in. He recognised this guy and came in. He pretended to be my brother and upon seeing Butch, this guy made a run for it.' Sam explains. 'I was told that Butch was the one that found me and brought me into hospital. When I was told that you worked with Butch, I told him to say anything. I told him a few years later that I didn't want you to know who it was.'
'Who was it?' Shaylynn asks. Sam keeps quiet. 'Sam? Who was it?'
'Shaylynn.' Butch says putting his hand on her arm. 'Let her tell you in her own time.'
'Butch it's fine.' Sam tells him. 'It was Alexander.' She tells Shaylynn.
'Nate's brother?!' Shaylynn exclaims.
'Butch called the police when I told him that I knew who the attacker was. It was dealt with discretely, but as it was his first time, he only had to sign the sex offenders register and be on there for 3 years.' Sam says. 'Nate doesn't know. At least I think he doesn't know.' She continues. 'He knew that straight away who I was when I arrested him, but never said anything.'
'Where is he now?' Shaylynn asks, pissed.
'Dead.' Sam tells her. 'A few months ago.'
'I don't want to know about Hinks and this sex trafficking boss. I'll work on it, but you two, you need to figure out what's going on.' Shaylynn states. Butch then gets word that Peter is on his way back up. Before the leave, Shaylynn gives Sam a hug. 'I'm not mad. You thought it was the best thing to do, for you. I'm just glad he can't hurt you any more.' Shaylynn and Butch then leave the long way.
When Peter gets back into the room, the nurse tells him that Sam can get changed into some more comfortable clothes to sleep in. He thanks the nurse and walks into Sam. Peter hands her the clothes and she gets changed. Peter had changed into a top and some sweat pants at home. He then makes a bed out of the chairs, when Sam notices she grabs his hand and pulls him onto the bed. 'Why sleep on some chairs when there's a bed right here?' She smiles.
'You need some space. You won't be comfortable.' He says.
'The couch in my office is basically a rock so I think I'll be able to cope.' She tells him. He laughs whilst shaking his head. They then both lie down on their sides and Peter wraps his arms around her waist.
'Whatever happens, we'll get through it together.' He whispers in her ear. He the reaches up to the light switch and turns the light off.
