"(Y/N) WAKE UP WE'RE HERE!"
"Shhhh Phil I wasn't asleep!" I remark, lifting my head off of Dan's shoulder.
"Oh sorry" Phil mumbles grabbing my hand and dragging me out of the cab.
As we reach the entrance, I link arms with Dan, who gave me a grin in return. We payed for our tickets and we went in to see the animals. We start off by looking at some marine life in the fish exhibit.
"Dan that's you!" I laugh, pointing at a black fish laying at the bottom of the exhibit.
"Haha very funny, I could say the same about you." He replies, earning an eye roll from me.
"And there's Philly!" pointing at a colorful fish swimming around by itself.
"Because its alone?" he asks me, with bitterness in his voice.
"No, because its so colorful" I laugh. He laughs too after a moment.
"Guys lets go see the lions!" Phil exclaims suddenly, taking off in the direction of the exhibit.
"Jeez this guy really likes his lions" I utter, gasping for breath, running after him.
"Yeah no kidding, this is the most exercise we have gotten for weeks" he pants, trying to breathe. We finally catch up to a mesmerized Phil, looking at a lion cub.
"Its so cute!" Phil exclaims, looking at it. Dan and I both nod our heads in agreement, still unable to breathe. I can't help but smile at his excitement. Dan announces to Phil we are going to go get some ice cream and then we walk a little bit to the cart.
He pays despite my arguments and I begin to lick the (Favorite Ice Cream flavor) ice cream. It felt really nice on this hot day. We begin walking back to Phil, our fingers interlocking in one hand, ice creams in the other. I look over at Dan who had a bit of vanilla ice cream on his cheek and laugh.
"What!?" He asks looking over at me.
"You have ice cream on your face" I tell him, swiping it off of him with my finger.
"There ya doofus" I laugh interlocking my hand with his again. We met back with Phil and we saw a few more animals before we went home. Dan and Phil found the monkeys amusing. I really enjoyed the elephants. When we got home, Dan, Phil and I all cuddled under a blanket, watching the show intensely.
My head and back was rested on Dan's shoulder and my feet were on Phil's lap. I fell asleep to Dan playing with my hair, feeling happy and safe.
