as i walked to school the next morning, i found myself stalking somi on social media.
she definitely seemed like a nice girl, and she was very pretty. i could see why hoseok would like her.
"hyunmi!"
i lifted my head from my phone screen to see hyungwon jogging towards me.
"good morning, bun." hyungwon said with a smile.
i don't know why he calls me that, but i've grown quite fond of it.
"morning." i smiled back up at him.
"what's so interesting on your phone?" he glanced down at my phone screen.
i looked at my phone for a second before locking it and shoving it in my pocket. "i was looking at the girl hoseok said he like's instagram."
he gasped. "were you stalking her?"
i started giggling and rolled my eyes. "no, i was just making sure she's a good fit for him. she seems nice."
"she is. she's cute too. she lives on my street."
"really? i should come over soon so that i can meet her lol."
"ew, bun, did you just say 'lol'?"
"ah, shut up!" i whined as the two of us laughed.
we made light conversation during the rest of the walk to school while i continued to think about somi.

"hyunmi, why are you going to hyungwon's after school? you haven't hung out with me in like 735 years." hoseok whined to me as we walked to lunch.
i let out a scoff. "jesus, hoseok, you're so clingy. i can hang out with my other friends."
he sighed loudly. "okay but can you come over to my house after?"
"sure, i'll come over for a little bit. and-"
"nooooooo!" he cut me off with a loud whine as we reached the cafeteria, causing a few people to look at us with weird expressions. "sleep over."
"then i'll have to go home and get clothes first."
"or you can just borrow my clothes. it's not a big deal."
i nodded as we took our seats at our table, sitting across from juhyun and yerim. "alright fine."
hoseok smiled at me and gave me a hug as hyunwoo and kihyun sat down at the table.
"can you two stop being weird for longer than two seconds?" juhyun mumbled just loud enough for me to hear as hoseok detached himself from me.
i decided to just ignore her as the rest of our friend group filled up the table an began talking. i sat quietly on my phone, not really tuning in to their conversation.
"hyunmi!"
my head snapped up to see hyungwon holding out a cookie. the rest of our friend group had already left, making me realize i had just been on my phone the whole time.
i took the cookie from hyungwon's hand as the two of us stood up from the table.
"why didn't you eat?" hyungwon asked as we began our walk to class.
i shrugged as i took a small bite from the cookie.
"well enjoy the cookie, and next time eat. it's important."
i looked up at him with a smile. "i will, and thank you for the cookie, it's good."
"good." he smiled back at me as we reached my class. "and i'll be feeding you a lot when we get to my house so prepare your stomach."
i nodded with a laugh as i waved him off and walked into the room.
i walked to my seat which was next to jooheon and changkyun, the two of them smiled at me as i sat down.
"what's with your faces?"
"whoa, are you calling us ugly?" changkyun scoffed and pouted.
"you're so mean to us lately. you're only nice to hoseok." jooheon joined changkyun in pouting.
i opened my mouth to deny the statement, but changkyun put a finger up to shush me.
"-and! you're nice to hyungwon." changkyun's pout was replaced with a smile as he wriggled his eyebrows.
"hyunmi and hyungwon; a cute couple." jooheon added.
i felt myself start to blush and thankfully the teacher walked in the room so i didn't have any time to respond.
and for some reason, i couldn't make myself stop blushing
