a/n: hi. i'm sorry i'm a piece of trash and this update is a good 56428 years late and probably a bit shorter than usually but i'll try to update again soon please don't hate me. also i didn't edit this so don't attack me if there are any mistakes, i'm a tired child who's doing her best :)

when i woke up monday morning and saw that it was pouring rain outside, i felt the strong urge to stay in bed and sleep instead of going to school. but when i remembered that i would be seeing hyungwon, i nearly fell out of bed trying to hurry to get ready for school.

it didn't take me long to get ready for school and start eating breakfast.

"you're actually eating this morning?" my mom asked when she walked into the kitchen. "are you sick or something?" she joked.

i rolled my eyes lightly. "i just had the time." i spoke quickly, shoving more food in my mouth as soon as i was done speaking.

"hey, slow down! don't choke!" she hit my shoulder lightly. "why are you in such a rush? is there something happening at school?"

i shook my head. "i'm just excited to go today. there's no specific-"

"you have a boyfriend!"

i dropped my silverware at her exclamation. i turned my head to face her with my eyes wide. "no! i don't."

she tilted her head, squinting her eyes as if she was studying me. "do you have a girlfriend?" she nodded slowly. "you can tell me. you know i will still love you 100%."

i smiled at her, shaking my head again. "no, mom. i'm still single." i picked up my silverware with a small sigh. "hopefully not for long." i mumbled.

"if you say so. don'f forget to bring an umbrella today, it's supposed to be raining all day."

i nodded at her as she exited the kitchen, leaving me alone to shove the rest of my breakfast down my throat.

i was out of the house and walking to school with my umbrella above my head in no time.

the walk was very boring, however, considering i couldn't use my phone since it was raining.

but my boredom came to an abrupt end when i saw hyungwon running toward me. actually, my boredom was replaced with alarm because of hyungwon's lack of umbrella.

once he was under my umbrella and we were walking at the same place, i punched his arm.

"ouch! why are you abusing me?" he whined.

"shut up, it wasn't that hard of a punch. where's your umbrella?"

he wrapped an arm around my shoulders, and i could feel butterflies in my stomach. "well my house is right there," he points in the direction of his house which is not too far from where we are. "and i was hoping you would have one. so, essentially, i got lucky."

we walked in silence for a couple of minutes. and when hyungwon moved his arm from my shoulders, i decided to clear my throat and start a conversation.

"hyungwon, i have an answer for you."

"o-oh? you do?" he took a deep, shaky breath. "okay, hit me."

i looked down at my feet. "i like you. i want to be with you."

he suddenly stopped walking, and i turned back to look at him, moving my arm to make sure he was still covered by the umbrella.

"are you kidding?" he asked with a slight smile.

i smiled at him and shook my head. "nope. i'm 100% serious."

he suddenly wrapped his arms around me, causing me to almost drop the umbrella. i wrapped one of my arms around him, making sure not to move the umbrella so that we'd stay (mostly) dry. he held onto me tightly, and i swear i could feel the happiness radiating off of him.

he pulled away from me, keeping his hands on my shoulders, looking me in the eye with a now serious expression.

"so you'll be my girlfriend?"

i looked off into the distance as if i was thinking of an answer.

"of course."

he smiled and pulled me back into his arms.

i let him hug me for a second before pushing him off of me. "come on, we'll be late for school."

he sighed, interlacing our hands as we continued walking. "i don't care about being late, i have the best girlfriend in the world now."
