I've got some complaints about chapter 20 so I have this extended one. My parents read this so I was a bit skeptical but I can't rob you of the story. So comment and let me know which version you prefer.
We get back to the Del Monte territory and I’m racking my brain trying to make sense of what’s going on.
There’s supposed to be ten knights yet I’ve got eleven?
Brian, Max, Xavier, Dylan, Seth, Dante, Gunnar, Danielle, Gabriel, River and Liam.
I count on my fingers, “1, 2, 3…” what the hell? I don’t know what to do now. Can I kick Max to curb? I don’t trust him. Hell, I can’t stand him. But he’s changed now. Thanks to John… but how did he get him to behave? He’s not scared of his own father… or me. And I’m the princess. I don’t get what’s going on. Could one of them be my mate and then the others are just knights?
I stop by the window and look outside to see Dylan and Danielle running around playing water war with balloons. Is Dylan trying to hit on her? I shake my head and continue to pace around my room.
“Who did I feel stronger connections with?” I ask myself.
“Danielle’s was super strong.” Ameera says laughing.
“Shut up! I’m not in the least bit attracted to other girls.” I bite my nails nervously as I continue to pace like a crazy person.
“Relax Cher, someone might walk in and think we’re crazy.”
“Now you want me to relax? Shouldn’t be helping me figure this out?”
“Well… you’ve had strong feelings with Dante and with Brian too.”
“Yeah maybe it was that way with Danielle because she’s the only girl.” I sit down on the bed going crazy out of mind. I feel like a headache is coming on now.
“I really want you to figure this out Cher, but relax a little.”
I sigh and lay back on the bed. My connection with Dante was strong but it wasn’t that strong. Ameera is supposed to shed light on things like this but she really was no help.
“Could it be that since Danielle and Gabriel are twins that they count as one?”
“Don’t be ridiculous… that might be cool they could have some strange incredible power though… but they don’t count as one Cher, they’re just as individual as any of the others.”
“But then there’s Brian. No one’s connection comes close. He seems to share all of my feelings… Oh My God! Don’t tell me!”
“I wasn’t planning on it.”
“Brian has been my true mate all along!”
“There you go, you’re so slow. Jesus! Amir has been getting impatient with me for so long now.”
“He has every right to be! Why wouldn’t you tell me?”
“I wanted you to figure it for yourself. No doubts no regrets.”
I run to the door and it opens hitting me on the head. I fall to the ground.
“Ouch! What?” I look up to see Brian shirtless in a surf shorts and I beam at him.
“Sorry, Cee.” He smiles at me, “Are you okay?” He picks me up and puts me to sit on the bed.
“I’ve never felt better,” I smile at him. “Guess what I just found out.”
