"Hi. I'm glad you're back," Riley said, looking at Lucas.

"Hi. Me too," Lucas said.

Noah rolled his eyes.

Thankfully, he sat in the seat next to Farkle in the second row so none of his friends saw him roll his eyes.

He doesn't understand why Riley sees in him. She barely knows him and she's already fallen for him.

Mr. Matthews said, "Hi. Apparently, you have a better sense of direction," Mr. Matthews gestured to Riley, "than I anticipated," Riley turned back and placed her hands on her head, and Cory does the "I'm watching you" signal. "You are a really good-looking guy," He paused and starts talking to the class. "Okay. So, today we're gonna find out if anybody here, believes in something so strongly, they'd fight for it. Maya."

"Yes, sir," Maya said.

"Present your homework," Mr. Matthews said.

"Can't do that, sir," Maya said.

"Why not?" Mr. Matthew said.

"Didn't do my homework, sir," Maya said.

"Why not?" Mr. Matthews said.

"That's what I'm fighting against, sir," Maya said.

"Oh, this could go on for a while," Farkle said. He put on a sleep mask. "Farkle, Farkle Farkle Farkle. Farkle, Farkle Farkle Farkle," he repeated.

"I didn't do my homework, either," Riley said. "And I'm pretty sure Noah didn't do his homework.

"Oh, really?" Mr. Matthews said.

"Oh, I did my homework," Noah said. "Don't get me involved in this."

Riley shot a look at Noah.

"Yeah. We're the same now. I don't believe in homework," Riley said.

"Guess what, Riley? That doesn't make you the same as Maya at all," Mr. Matthews said.

"Sir, I've been trying to tell her not to change, but she just ignores me," Noah said.

Maya raised her hand. "I have something to say," Maya said.

"Wow, I don't know what to do, I've never seen this before. The floor's yours, Ms. Hart," Mr. Matthews said.

Noah raised his eyebrows.

Maya stood up. "Get up, Farkle," she pulled on his sleep mask. "You're gonna wanna be awake for this."

Farkle stood up. "Is it our honeymoon?"

"No, you missed that. Now it's time to hand in our essays," Maya responded.

"Oh! Farkle goes first, Farkle always goes first!" Farkle said, before leaving the class.

"Alright, everybody who did their homework, put it on your desk," Maya said.

Everyone took out their homework. She started collecting everyone's homework.

"Careful there, Ms. Hart," Mr. Matthews said.

"Are you sure about this?" Riley asked.

"I got this," Maya said.

"Okay," Riley said.

"Maya, don't do this," Noah begged. "Please. Things won't go the way you're planning. Trust me."

"No, you trust me," Maya said. "Like I said, I got this."

"I'm sorry, Maya, but I don't trust you right now," Noah said. "I don't think you got this."

"Then deal with it," Maya said.
