Update.
Sofia's POV
The following Tuesday, December twenty-fourth...
Louis Tomlinson's birthday...
Something unexpected happened and Louis may just as well consider it his birthday present.
I was walking to sixth period and no encounter with any of the boys so far, which was good.
I entered the classroom and saw that all the students were looking at me expectantly, as if I said I would something.
"Sofia? Answer me." Mrs. Brooks said and that's when I took my headphones out of my ears, now paying attention to the teacher.
"Pardon?" I asked her as I took my seat.
"Is it true that you said that I don't have much talent in singing?" She said with a glare and I was about to start laughing.
She's actually pissed about that? And what makes me want to laugh the most is the fact that I didn't even say that.
"No, ma'am." I said with a shake of the head.
Let me explain why this angers me a bit. She sings mostly all of the time and when she does, she always says that she doesn't sing well. However, she likes it when people compliment her and she says thank you.
Like...do you think you sing good or not? And then, when people says she sings badly, she gets all defensive over her voice. In my opinion, all I think she wants is attention, which she obviously is getting now since she's created this feud against me.
"Then why have some students reported that to me?" She said while crossing her arms over her chest, as if I had nothing to answer back.
"I don't know. Maybe because those students dislike me." I said while shrugging, not really caring about the subject.
"So if you say that, do you think you can sing better than me?" Mrs. Brooks said, totally ignoring my last statement.
"No, ma'am. I didn't even say that in the first..." I said, but she cut me off.
"If you think so, then why don't you show it? In fact, let's make a deal." Mrs. Brooks said while crossing her arms over her chest, smirking.
"You have to get a well-known artist and perform with them in front of the whole school in Thursday, February twenty-eighth. If you do, well...I'll give you a hundred in Math for the whole year." She said and I rolled my eyes.
I'm already good at Math. If I don't do it, it isn't going to hurt me.
"Now, if you don't, I'll fail you." She said with an evil smirk and I swear, my jaw dropped to the floor.
"You cannot do that. That's not fair and I bet that it is against the law." I said while pointing a finger at her and the rest of the students were moving their heads from me to Mrs. Brooks, as if this was a tennis match.
"Well, who are they going to believe? The student or the teacher?" She said, already blackmailing.
Who hired this teacher?!
I sighed and that's when she spoke.
"Are you willing to do it or are you going to put your grade in jeopardy?" She said with a mischievous look in her eyes.
I sighed once again, running a hand through my hair.
"I'll do it."
