I'm so so so so so sorry for not updating earlier, but it's because of good reason...

I've been checking out A Crazy Little Thing Called Love's first chapters (by first I mean from Chapter 1 till Chapter 60 - 70 . . . yeah) and I started wondering:

How the heck did you guys like those chapters?! And that's when I realized that I have the best readers in the world. Thank you guys so much; I don't say that enough, I should.

Anyway, I started rewriting the first chapters (I'm working on Chapter 7 right now) and as soon as I finish this story, which is the sequel to A Crazy Little Thing Called Love, I'm going to edit all the chapters from beginning to end.

So don't be surprised if I don't post the third book immediately after I finish this one.

Thank you, once again, for being oh so patient and I hope that you guys understand that it does not go unnoticed.

Well, enough of my note, here is the long-awaited Chapter 27.

                                        Sofia's POV

You know something is wrong when your best friend ditches you for a 'study group activity.'

First of all, I knew Katelyn wouldn't do that sort of thing because well...

She was like my other half. We had almost everything in common and the fact that she would ditch Math, which was her favorite subject, for a study group activity? She isn't telling me something and that something I must figure out.

"Um, Mrs. Brooks?" I started as I raised my hand, trying not to interrupt her lesson.

"What's wrong, Sofia?" Mrs. Brooks asked in a gentle tone as if she knew what was going on with Katelyn.

"May I go to the restroom?" I politely asked as I took out my agenda in order to get a hall pass.

"Um..." She nervously glanced around, especially towards the windows as if expecting someone to be passing by.

"Do you really have to go?" Mrs. Brooks said, but it was more anxious than bitter.

Lately, I've noticed an attitude change in Mrs. Brooks as if she was turning nicer, if that was possible.

"Yes, ma'am. Like I really, really need to go." I pleaded with a slight giggle, not trying to sound desperate, but not too casual either.

"Well . . . if you really need to go." She said, her voice quivering in hesitation.

Something was happening and no one wanted me to find out. What was I missing?

I was about to set foot out of the room until Mrs. Brooks called out to me.

"And Sofia? Please, stay out of the portables or outside in general." She added and I nodded, closing the door shut behind me.

"As to what I'm going to do..." I trailed off with a smirk, my eyes and my feet focusing on the building door that led to the portables.

"Let's see what this is about." I said and sprinted towards the door, slightly looking back to see if anyone was looking.

As I got out of the building and started to walk the paved sidewalk towards the portables, I started to take notice of quite a few things.

The portables were all empty, not one single person occupied them. Considering it was sixth period . . . and every teacher has a sixth period class, this seems way out of the ordinary.
