                                        Sofia's POV

Katelyn and I decided to just ditch school. One of my friends' brothers was offering us a ride and we took it.

Knowing that my parents would die if they found out, I told Tanya to say that I was sick and had to stay home. The teachers wouldn't call home because well, that's not their cup of tea.

"We should do this more often." Katelyn stated and I stifled a laugh, receiving a smack from her.

"What? I'm serious!" She exclaimed with a grin as she rolled the windows down.

My friend, Adrian, mentioned that her brother was free from high school and was willing to bring us to the local town square. Katelyn and I agreed and now, Josh, Adrian's older brother, is driving us down town.

"So what do you fine ladies plan on doing today?" Josh asked through the rear view mirror; if I were blind, I could still figure that he was trying to flirt with both of us.

Katelyn seems all up for it, though.

"You know, the usual. Shopping, movies, FroYo . . . definitely FroYo." Katelyn laughed at the end and I slightly smiled, not giving my full attention towards the subject.

"What about you, mute?" He mocked and I looked at him with a smirk.

"This mute can speak."

"Beautifully, may I add."

I looked up at him through the mirror and he smirked at me; his focus changed from Katelyn to me and I chuckled.

"Keep flirting like that and maybe we'll go somewhere." I teased as I got out of the car, Katelyn trailing behind me in awe.

We headed towards the paved sidewalk until Josh called me back before I could step on solid cement.

"Aye, Sofia!"

I turned around and ran to him, nearly crashing onto the rear view mirror.

I leaned on the where the window was under as he took out a piece of paper from his back pocket.

"Keep my number, just in case you get lost." He handed me his phone number; neat handwriting adorned the paper and I smiled.

"Are you sure this is just for emergencies?" I asked him with a smirk as I leaned even closer, making him smile at my confidence.

"Of course not. I'll take you out sometime . . . if you'll let me." Josh flirted with a smile, challenging to close the gap between us.

"Now that sounds more like it." I whispered, leaning in even more, but instead of giving him a kiss on the lips, which was probably what he was expecting, I gave him a kiss on the cheek, totally catching him off guard.

"Bye, Josh." I lastly mentioned before backing up from the car, jogging over to Katelyn who stood there with her mouth wide open in disbelief.

"Bye, gorgeous." He said with a laugh and drove off to the opposite side of the town square.

Katelyn walked a few steps behind before finally getting on my pace and walking beside me.

"The average American and Louis Tomlinson . . . how do you do it?" She asked in wonderment and instead of sounding furious about Louis, she actually seemed calm about the subject.
