                                        Sofia's POV

Ding, ding.

"Coming!" I yelled as I ran to the door, my loose bun turning into a mess.

I guess they don't call it loose without having reason.

"Sofia, can you please receive the guests outside?" My mom yawned with one hand in her robe's pocket and another one holding a cup of coffee.

"Sure." I said, trying to reassure my mom with a smile and she yawned again, but this time, sent me a lazy smile as I laughed.

"Go to sleep, mom." I said with a chuckle and she suddenly widened her eyes.

"Aren't you supposed to be asleep right now?" She said as she looked at the clock with a smirk and my confidence faltered.

"Okay, okay; I'm out." I gave up while opening the door and stepping out.

"Thank you."

That's the last I heard before I turned to the stranger.

"Moms and their coffee." I sighed with a laugh.

"I can relate; except that over here-"

As I turned to face the guest, my facial expression changed.

"It's with tea."

I looked at Niall warily, hesitant as to what to do until he wrapped his arms around my waist and I gave in to his embrace.

The hug was so tight, but as tight as it was, I wanted it to be tighter.

"Hey." His muffled voice danced through my ears as he kissed the top of my head, resting his chin on it afterwards.

"Hi." I smiled as I pulled back from the hug, but he pulled me in again and I got on my tippy toes to kiss him on the cheek as he grinned.

I stepped back to take a better look at him, but he took hold of my hand, intertwining our fingers together.

"I brought you something." He reached behind him and gave me a beautiful midnight blue guitar and instant memories started to corrupt my mind.

"Remember?"

He handed the guitar and I took it with such delicacy, it made Niall think that I was going to drop it, but I never would.

I let of Niall's hand and sat on the sofa we had on our porch, strumming the strings to see if it was tuned correctly and luckily, it was.

I kept my focus on the guitar until I heard Niall clear his throat from beside me, asking for my attention.

"It is yours; you do know that, right?" He asked as he placed a gentle hand on my knee and I slowly nodded, still transfixed by the guitar.

        My guitar.

"I'm going to give it a name." I stated and Niall smile, grabbing my hand in the process.

"What name are you going to give it?" He wondered as he reached over to kiss my cheek; I grinned.

"Midnight Blue." I said as I turned to face him, a smile rising up on my face.
