I honestly did not think one chapter was enough so...
Sofia's POV
"First call."
It's just a play. One hour and a half; that's it. After that, you're done.
I kept telling myself that for the past four hours and it still hasn't gone into effect in my mind.
"Nervous, love?" I whirled around only to find Zayn smiling at me with pride.
"Oh my God, where have you been?!" I slightly shouted as I ran to hug him; he laughed and hugged me back even tighter.
"Nowhere, darling. Where do you think I was?" He said with curiosity; I could imagine his smirk on his face.
"Neverland." He laughed again.
He picked me up and it was now my turn to laugh. After a while, he put me down, seeing almost reluctant to do so.
"So what's making you so worried that you have to pace around?" Zayn said, still keeping his hands on my waist as mine stayed on his shoulders.
"Well first, if you haven't noticed, I have a play to do. In front of a decent amount of people." I explained, but he raised an eyebrow; not believing my words.
"You've performed in bigger places. Why does it scare you so much to perform in front of barely five hundred people?" He asked and I looked anywhere, but him.
A look of realization washed upon his face, but then it passed away just as fast. He smirked at his sudden knowledge.
"Hm . . . Why would Sofia Saenz, by far one of the most confident people I've known, be afraid of acting in front of five hundred people, but would jump at the opportunity to sing to a crowd of twenty thousand or so spectators, judging her every note and action? Hm, why would that be?" His tone was sarcastic as he tapped his fingers against my waist and I rolled my eyes as he laughed.
"It's Harry, isn't it?" He stated with a grin playing on his face; surprisingly, it wasn't bitter, but mocking.
"You don't say!" I exclaimed as I got off his grip, my tone sardonic as he laughed.
He took my arm and pulled me back in, securing his arms around me.
"Oh, c'mon; you know you love me." Zayn said with a chuckle and I blushed, hopeful that he didn't see it.
"So if that is the problem . . . Wait. Who am I kidding? Of course, it is." He stated as he let go of me and I smacked him across the arm, making him laugh as he took my hand.
"What's the big deal? You perform with Harry so what? I'm really not seeing the big picture here, Sof." He tried to understand, but he wasn't getting the point.
"Second call."
"The school board is going to be observing the play. Harry's older than me..." I trailed off, trying to make him see the light.
When he finally got what I was implying, I face-palmed myself at how long it took him.
"You honestly think the school board would get worked up about this? Sofia, it's just a play; he volunteered to be in it. Nothing's going to happen." Zayn soothed as he caressed both my arms; he came to a halt as I sighed.
"Zayn, you can't be sure about that." I argued.
"Oh, but I am." He said with a smirk and I chuckled, looking at him.
"Sometimes, I wonder how you can calm someone down so easily." I got off topic, which made him frown, but then he laughed.
"It's a specialty of mine. Guess what other specialty I have?" He said with a smirk as he wrapped his arms around my waist once again, this time pulling me closer to him.
