AZMARIE'S POV
On my day off, I called over Leila and Samantha over since I hadn't seen them in so long.
"Oh sweetie! Look at this baby bump, its growing so much." Samantha exclaimed as she rubbed it.
I laughed and agreed as we all sat in my living room. The both of them were drinking red wine while I was stuck to apple juice which had me complaining.
"Stop your whining. Every woman signs an imaginary contract stating they can't drink, smoke, or do anything that may harm their unborn child. I promise you that once she's born, I'll give you lots and lots of alcohol." Leila stated, taking a long sip from her glass.
"After the breastfeeding stage that is." Samantha added,
"I know, I know. I'm just whining." I sighed,
We quickly caught up with each other's lives and laughed at the jokes that Samantha cracked up.
"Actually, I want us to get serious for a moment. Leila, I want to ask you a question." I stated, placing my cup down.
They both got serious and Leila gestured for me to go.
"Since you're such a powerful witch, I was thinking that maybe you could place a spell or barrier around my house and office." I stated,
They stared at me for a moment and I sighed.
"I want to keep Andruis out- out of my life until at least after the birth of our child. I can't handle the rollercoaster he has me on and I just want him gone for a while." I explained,
"What has you thinking this way, Azmarie?" Samantha asked,
Leila agreed and moved closer, grasping my hand.
"The other night, Andruis was here. Everything was great. He was being sweet, doing things for me... he promised me that he'd be there for my doctor's visit, but in the end he cancelled and didn't show up. That time I honestly thought he would show up, but he didn't so I want him out until I'm emotionally and spiritually stable to deal with him." I explained as Samantha gathered me in her arms and comforted me.
"I understand. There's a spell I can do that'll keep him for 3 months the most, depending on the witch." Leila stated,
"That works for me. Can that include any other supernatural being?" I asked and she nodded her head.
"Good, with the exception of you both, I don't want any type of supernatural crap going on in my life for the rest of my pregnancy." I stated,
"Well, frankly sweetie, this pregnancy is supernatural. You're pregnant with a Incubus Kings' child." Samantha stated,
"Don't remind me." I groaned,
Leila left to retrieve what she needed which didn't take long. She set everything on the coffee table and Samantha and I watched as she mumbled words in another language over the herbs and water she gathered.
After a moment of silence and deep breathing, Leila reclined back in a heave.
"Done. In a matter of seconds, Andruis will be feeling a block between you both and the baby. He won't be able to sense anything from you or come here." Leila explained, wiping the sweat that gathered at her brow.
"Thanks, Leila. I honestly feel like this is a step that I have to take." I said and they agreed.
They spent some more time with me before parting ways. By the time they left, the sun was setting and I was feeling exhausted. Walking into my bedroom, I collapsed onto my bed before falling asleep.
I woke up in a completely different bed. I sat up and looked around to find myself in a large dark bedroom. I immediately recognized it as Andruis' room in his castle.
"So you've kicked me out of your life now, huh?" The sudden sound of his voice had me jumping and I looked over to the door where he stood.
His eyes were blood red as he glared at me. He wasn't any shirt just some leather pants with his hair disheveled.
He suddenly appeared above me pinning me down to the bed.
"You have no right to be mad. You deserve this." I spat at him, making him growl lowly.
"Three fucking months! You honestly expect me to be apart from you for that long!?" He angrily snapped,
"It's nothing for a never there man like you." I answered, glaring at him.
"Azmarie, you clearly don't understand the dangers that I'm trying to keep away from you. I wanted nothing more than to be there with you- for our child. A sudden threat appeared and I had to take care of it. My first priority is to keep you and our child safe. During the period of your pregnancy will be the most dangerous period. You're must vulnerable right now. You have no idea how many enemies I've gathered through the centuries that have waited for an opening to hurt me." He angrily stated,
I looked away from him, trying to pull my hands free.
"Won't you understand how much I love you? Please take down the warding." He softly whispered into my ear.
Fighting back the tears, I looked at him firmly.
"No." I answered,
His eyes flashed with anger and his grip tightened.
"I tried asking nicely. The other way to take down a warding is by killing the witch or seriously damaging her and every spell that she's ever casted will fall. Leila means absolutely to me and I don't care if you're mad at me, but you won't block me out." He threatened,
"Don't you dare hurt her!" I cried out,
"Then kindly take down the warding and I won't order her demise." He stated,
"So this is your dark side. It suits you, King. A true monster." I seethed, tears finally falling.
"You have no idea, baby. I tried so hard to keep this side of me away from you, but you've pissed me off. I can't just sit back and lose our connection. I won't." He firmly said,
"I hope you lose power from not fucking me in the next three months." I stated angrily,
Andruis chuckled and nuzzled my neck.
"There are much much more women who'd willingly fall into my bed. You're not the only woman in my life, Azmarie. I've been loyal to you and only you, forcing me out your life and think I just won't feed? You're wrong." He stated,
"Let me go, you son of a bitch!" I yelled and struggled against him.
Everything went dark and I found myself spiraling down a dark hole.
Shooting up on my bed, I gasped my heart beating fast.
"A dream. Even with a bloody warding, he manages to find a loophole." I growled, falling back onto the bed.
My cheeks were stained from tears and I couldn't help, but think of Andruis having sex with another woman and it stung.
"I hate him so much!"
