Chapter 15: I like you so much that it hurts

Sarah’s POV

“Honey, Jaime is waiting for you downstairs” I heard my mother knocked slowly on my door.

“Yeah, tell him almost done and I’m heading down now.” I said while double checking myself in the mirror. Trying to arrange my hair and tugging my miniskirt a little down. Would she think that I’m dressing up for her? What if she thinks I look like a slut wearing this or worst she’ll take I’m wearing this just to impress her brother? Whatever, I don’t have time to change now and Jaime is already here.

“Wow! Honey you look gorgeous! It’s about time you are wearing all the clothes you bought.” My mother said as soon as I open the door. “My golly I didn’t even recognize you with that!” she exclaimed excitedly.

“It’s like I have places to go to wearing this!” I said while rolling my eyes. “Don’t you think that I look like a… you know... like a…” I didn’t finish the slut word because I’m talking to my mum but I just look at her like you know.

“Like what?” still looking clueless. “Of course not darling, you look absolutely beautiful and classy! It’s just you are new to this that’s why you look uncomfortable. But it’s going to change now that you and Alicia are dating. I was getting worried at you that you are only able to attend old dinner functions. It’s really about time you are going out with your own age.” She said smiling.

“B-but—“

“No more but darling, you look amazing and Jaime is already waiting downstairs. I can’t believe the time has come that you are attending a house party. It just bring me back when me and your dad attend this amazing party and we were in a pool and---“

“Omigad, I don’t want to hear any sordid details about anything!” I exclaimed while looking shocked about what she was about to tell.”

“Oh honey I was just joking but I’m telling you to enjoy it. I don’t want you to miss it just as long as you don’t drugs!” she said teasingly.

“Woah, what do we have here!” My dad said while walking toward us. “My baby is now going to a high school party! Did you remember the time when we went to that pool party.”

“Ohh god not again, kill me now!” as I rolled my eyes and covered my ears and immediately went downstairs.

“Hey, what’s wrong you seem annoyed or something” Jaime said smiling as he tug my nose teasingly.

“Stop it! My mum and dad just told me about their wild days and it’s not funny hearing weird stuff from your own parents! “ I said while trying to erase the thought it my head. Jaime just chuckled which earned him a stared daggers from me.

“Okay, okay, so what do we have here… hmmm what did my sister ever do to you that made you come out of your shell” He said as he was looking at me from head to toe and slightly made me turned around.

“Knock it off or I’m going to head upstairs and change my clothes!”

“Yeah right and hear your parent’s escapade. Ohhh don’t be mad I was just joking but seriously you look pretty hot!” he said teasingly.  “Come now we don’t want my sister to wait for her girlfriend. She might go ballistic!”

“I doubt it.” I sigh heavily as we head to his car.

“What’s wrong Sar?  Did something happen awhile ago?” he asked with a concerned tone

“No, nothing happen.” I whispered. . I was looking at the window watching big houses and trees as we passed by. I can see Monica’s House and hear a little noise coming out from her house. It looks to me that this is going to be a very noisy party. Good thing that houses here have big loan and far away from each other.
