^~^ this poem belongs to me so plz don't use without permission. This was actually what I wrote for H.W.
you want to walk away, but you cannot move your feet.
You do not like being outside and you refuse to order french fries to eat
You stare up at the sky, debating the outcomes
Your heart begins to pound and you wonder why
Your palms are sweaty, you have cold flashes
You feel really tense, you cannot sleep
You are trembling, your thoughts deep
No one understands why you feel this way
It's in the mind, a horror everyday
You cannot talk to that dude
Some people call it "cute" or "rude"
No one understands your stillness
But you have a mental illness
It has a variety
And it's called (social)anxiety
Spread awareness, not the stigma.
