The week went by really fast. Next thing I knew it was Friday. I'm on my way to Kaiya's to pick her up so we can go to that dreaded place called school. *le sigh* Kaiya is 5'6" tanned skin because she's Hawaiian and black with long hair like mine but hers isn't as long because what a shocker they actually let her cut her hair so hers stops above her butt. She's absolutely gorgeous sometimes I get a little jealous because she has perfect curves everywhere I notice all the boys checking her out. I mean I have perfect curves but I don't quite look as mature as her. I mean we both look like we could be models but since I'm so shy and weird around people boys pretty much avoid me.
I pull up to her place and she's outside waiting like always. Her outfit today is a strapless dress that's tight at the top and fans out as it reaches her waist it stops mid thigh and is light blue which is her favorite color. She's wearing her light blue chuck taylor's to go with it and normally that would look a little weird with such a nice dress but she pulls it off. My outfit is a dress as well, black strapless floral print that stops mid thigh with black dangly earrings and my elephant necklace. I almost didn't make it past my parents but since they were running late I managed to slip out the house. Anyway I decided to wear my light pink wedges with it. I also brought a blue button up shirt with a denim look to it in case I get cold.
"Hey girl!" I told Kaiya as she got in the car.
"Hey! Good news my parents are okay with me going out they have this insane idea I'm responsible," she laughs "Anyway just tell your parents you're sleeping over and you can tag along, well I'd be tagging along since you're driving." She clarified.
I laughed at her and pulled away making our way to school. "What if my parents call your house to check up on me?"
"My parents will just say we're out at a movie or something since that's what I told them." I looked over at her incredulously. "WHAT?!" I practically screamed at her.
She flinched, "Sorry they don't think I'm that responsible that they'll let me go to a party so I told them you're sleeping over and we are gonna catch a late movie!"
I just shook my head completely taken back by how fearless and unbelievable she is that she's able to just lie to her parents like that. "I don't know how you lie to them like that."
"Yeah I know I'm pretty awesome!" She said as she flipped a piece of her hair for effect. I just laughed at her and slapped her arm. "Ouch! That hurt," she pouted and poked her tongue out at me I just poked mine out right back at her.
We finally made it to school and I parked my baby. Oh! I forgot to tell you guys what I named her. Are you ready? Her name is lavender. I figured why not since that's the color she should've been anyway. We were on our way into school and out of nowhere Jackson yelled to me, "Hey new girl!" Then he winked at me.
I was so shocked for a moment I stood there with my mouth open and blushed I told him, "Hey" and practically ran away. Kaiya just looked over at me "What was that about?!" I forgot I didn't tell her the story cause she distracted me that day. So I told her the story of what happened and she screamed so loud practically the whole school was looking at us.
"I hate when you do that!" I yelled at her.
"Sorry! But this is big news the Jackson Avery Ray likes you!" She squealed a little quieter which I was thankful for.
"No he doesn't now let's go to class before we're late." I shook my head at her and she hmmphed while sticking her tongue out at me for the second time that morning. I just shrugged and laughed at her while we parted ways.
I was rounding the corner to my class and there was Jackson almost like he was waiting for me. He hadn't noticed me yet so I was about to turn around until he turned his head and saw me. "Crap" I mumbled.
"Hey new girl," he smirked at me.
God he's so cute I thought to myself. He laughed and said, "Why thank you." I looked at him confused then widened my eyes when I realized I said that out loud I blushed like crazy. At this moment in time I thank my parents for being Hawaiian hoping he can't tell I'm blushing. "I didn't mean to..."
"Say it out loud yeah I can tell by how much your blushing." He laughed his amazing laugh.
I just blushed even more sending negative thoughts to my parents because being Hawaiian didn't help. "Yeah well I better get to class," I said while starting to walk away. I was almost fully to class when I heard him yell out, "Hope to see you at my party this weekend."
I smiled and a whole bunch of butterflies fluttered in my stomach because he actually wants me there. I made my way to my seat just in time for the bell. I need to stop these encounters with him before one day he actually makes me late. Then my mind argues with me 'but it'd be worth it' and I can't help but agree. It'd totally be worth it.
Jackson's POV:
After running into her in the hallway I made a mental note to get her name next time. She's the most adorable girl I've ever seen I don't know why I'm getting these feelings for a girl I don't even know. But all I can think is I hope she's at my party I'd love to get to know her more. I made my way into class just as the bell rang and my teacher made a remark about how I was right on time and to not make it a usual thing I just shrugged it off and ignored it. I made my way to my seat and immediately girls tried to talk to me. Don't get me wrong I flirted back cause that's just who I am. All I'm worried about is who that girl is and when I'm going to see her again. 'Hopefully at the party' my mind told me and I agreed. Tonight would be a perfect time to see her again.
Aulani's POV:
I got home and told my parents I was staying at Kaiya's they asked no questions which I was thankful for. I was actually surprised they were even home. I packed some clothes and supplies for the night along with my outfit and what I was gonna wear. I want to look great tonight. Ever since that encounter with Jackson in the hallway I can't help but think tonight is going to be pretty awesome. Speaking of which I still haven't told Kaiya but I think this story I might keep to myself. She's just gonna blow it all out of proportion.
I got in lavender and drove over to her house. I just walked right in because her parents are like a second set of parents because we've been friends so long. I saw them in the living room watching tv, "Aloha Ohana!" I yelled to them while making my way up the stairs to Kaiya's room and I heard them yell a faint "Aloha" back to me.
I walked in her room and plopped on her bed she was in the shower so I yelled hey to her to let her know that I was here and waiting for her to get done so we could start getting ready since I took a shower and blow dried my hair at my house. Thirty minutes later she walked out the bathroom, "Took you long enough!" I huffed at her.
She stuck her tongue out at me, "Perfection doesn't just happen," she said while moving her hand up and down her appearance for emphasis. I just looked at her laughed and threw one of her pillows at her. She caught it faking hurt, "I thought we're best friends I guess I was wrong." She said while pretending to cry. I just stared at her with a blank expression until we both couldn't hold in our laughter anymore.
"We gonna get ready for this party or what?" I asked her while still slightly laughing.
"We sure are girl! Tonight is gonna be awesome I can feel it!" She told me.
I smiled at her, "I was just thinking the same thing."
