At The Station.

You know how in all the cop shows they allow the offenders a phone call? Well that's not completely true. I've been here for about an hour and they have yet to let me call anyone. I'm trying not to stress out because I have to think what's best for the twins but it's so hard. I've asked like 10 officers by now to call someone and they either said 'no' or just ignored me completely.

Kaiya and her family are in the station waiting for me. They followed behind the officer and hopefully Jackson is with them I had asked Kaiya to call him. Just as I was about to ask another officer for a phone call the one who brought me in came to let me out.

"We talked to your parents and worked everything out you are free to go home," he said.

"Thank you officer but I'd rather stay here than go back home," I firmly state to him.

"Your parents worked it out with your friends parents and you're being released to them," he told me.

'Thank goodness' I think as I sigh with relief. I stand up and walk out to the front where my new Ohana is waiting for me. I smile when I see them.

"Everything is all settled," I tell them "I'm ready to go home."

"One more thing," the officer stops us. "Here's the keys to your car they were talked into letting you keep it. You have them to thank," he explains while pointing to the Jones'. "They really fought for you and personally I'm appalled at what your parents did to you."

I smile, "Yeah the Jones' are amazing like that," I tell him.

We say our thanks to the officer and leave. Kaiya drives my car back with me in the passenger seat. We're almost to her house when I realize that Jackson wasn't there. "Hey didn't you call Jackson?," I ask her.

"Yeah I thought he was gonna meet us but he never showed," she tells me.

I decide not to stress it because I'm sure he had his reasons but they better be damn good cause I'm tired of him letting me down.

"I meant to ask the officer about my stuff. How am I gonna get my things?," I start to worry a little. I can't afford to buy all new stuff for me and buy the twins stuff as well.

"My parents worked a schedule out for them to go pack up your room and bring your stuff over," Kaiya reassures me.

"I can't ask them to do that," I say "They're already doing enough by letting me stay I should at least pack my own things."

"It's not a problem Lani we would do anything for you, you know that." she states.

"Yeah I know that's why I love you guys with all my heart," I smile at her.

She sticks her tongue out at me to lighten the mood and we both laugh. The rest of the way to her house we just talked and laughed about random stuff. I can feel that window opening back up and I'm beyond happy.
