I got home after dropping Kaiya off at her house the appointment isn't for a couple of hours so she wanted to take a nap I guess she had a long day. I've been thinking about this morning all day and I can't believe he acted like that. I mean I never expected him to confess his hidden undying love for me, well maybe I was, but it's Jackson frickin Ray what girl doesn't imagine that? I sound like a stalker. I just never thought I would be in this situation. I had my future all planned out and being pregnant at seventeen was not part of that future. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little excited though. I hope it's a girl but either way I'm going to love this baby with every fiber of my being seeing as he/she will only have one parent I feel like I need to love the baby for the both of us.

It'd been a couple of hours and I was sitting around the house eating wheat thins because I rushed through my lunch barely eating, I was avoiding the jerk that is Jackson so I'm pretty hungry, all of a sudden the doorbell rung. I got up to go answer it figuring Kaiya asked her parents to drop her off since it is coming close to the appointment now. I was absolutely shocked when it turned out to be the LAST person I wanted to see. Jackson.

"What do you want?," I asked him with venom dripping from every word and sneering at him.

"Are you gonna invite me in?," he asked not affected by my hostility at all.

Instead of letting him inside I stepped out closing the door but making sure I didn't lock myself out and sat out the porch swing we have. "No you can't come in but you can say whatever you need to say," I told him still clearly annoyed by his presence.

He went to sit on the swing and I put my feet up subtly letting him know he wasn't allowed to sit down either.

"O-kay," he said dragging out the word. "Look I know you're obviously unhappy with my reaction but in my defense you blindsided me I didn't know what to say or do."

I frowned at his words, "Blindsided you? I tried to tell you in a civilized manner and with less pressure but you was too stupid to understand what I was saying so I went with bluntness instead." Damn these hormones are making me so brave!

"Okay your hostility I deserve but don't call me stupid I make straight A's... I get that enough from my stepdad," he tried to say that last part under his breath but I heard him. Immediately feeling guilty I apologized to him. I didn't know his home life wasn't as perfect as he seemed to act.

"I'm not looking for you to help or anything I wasn't going to tell you at first but my parents thought you would at least want to know and I agreed with them so I decided to tell you after all. I'm scared out of my mind and I'd love if you wanted to be a part of our... I mean the baby's life but I also know it's a lot to ask of you."

"You wasn't going to tell me?!," he yelled all of a sudden getting angry.

Didn't his mother ever teach him to not yell at a pregnant girl! The balls on this boy is crazy!

I immediately got pissed no longer feeling in the mood to be civil, "Who the hell are you yelling at?! I am in no way your doormat so don't you dare think you can walk all over me like you've been doing for the past month and a half! You slept with me and tossed me aside like I was nothing; well guess what I'm a person and I DO have feelings despite what you think. I would like you to leave you're really starting to stress me out and I don't know much about pregnancy but I know stress isn't good for MY baby!," I screamed at him making sure I put emphasis on the "my".

He didn't even look sorry as he continued, "I came here to say something and I'm gonna say it whether you want to hear it or not..."

I saw my dad's car pulling into the driveway while I immediately cut Jackson off during his speech I really didn't want to hear, "No I'm not going to listen to you and you're going to leave, now!"

"What's going on here?," my dad's voice said as he was walking over to me.

"Nothing daddy Jackson was just leaving," I said while giving Jackson a look that said 'stay and you'll regret it.'

He mumbled a incoherent 'whatever' and walked to his car as he got in and sped off. I assured my dad I was fine and he kissed my head then went into his office to finish up some paperwork; he's been working from home a little more now that I'm in the situation that I'm in. My mom came home and we drove her car to pick up Kaiya then go to my appointment.

When I arrived I told the nurse my name and she told me to wait in the waiting room for the doctor to call me back. I sat in between my mom and Kaiya and looked around. There was 4 women here with their husbands and at least one of them was giving me a look like she felt bad for me. Seriously? I shook my head. "Lady you're pregnant too! So don't look at me like I'm in some horrible situation," I sternly told her. She averted her eyes immediately and all the other women just smiled giving me an appraising look for being so brave. My mom gave my hand a reassuring squeeze while Kaiya gave me a hug and a thumbs up. I just smiled at them happy to have them here with me.

Finally it was my turn and the doctor called out my name, well tried to at least.

"Hey Ms...," she said as she trailed off.

"Kahuanui but you can just call me Lani," I smiled at her.

"Oh good," she laughed, "because I would've totally butchered your name."

The appointment went overall great. The ultrasound was the most amazing thing I've ever seen and seeing my baby on the machine made it so much more real and I became less scared if that's even possible. She gave me prenatal vitamins to take so that the baby can develop healthy. She also told me what food will be best to eat during my pregnancy and I'm going to follow her instructions perfectly. After the doctor printed out a couple copies of the ultrasound for me we said our 'good bye's.'

I was smiling as I walked out the office and all I could think was 'I can totally do this.'
