Chapter Twenty-three

"We need to talk."

"I'm not available" ani ko at umalis sa harapan nila ng may humawak sa pulso ko.

"Please... My Queen?"

Nanlaki ang mga mata ko. Did he just call me 'My Queen'? AGAIN?

Naramdaman ko ang mga paro-paro sa aking tiyan. I bit my lower lip to prevent myself from smiling.

He called me 'My Queen'! AGAIN!

Huminga ako ng malalim para ma-i-control ang sayang nararamdaman. Deep breaths, Aphrodite. Deep breaths.

Bakit ba ako natuwa ng tinawag nya akong My Queen? Parang ang shallow naman... but damn! This boy is killing me!

I stared right into his blue orbs. Tumango ako at nagpahila nalang sa kanya, I don't have enough strength to realease myself from his grip.

Pagdating namin sa harapan ng Highest at bahagya kong tinulak si Ares. Ako, Kevin, at Airkan kasi ang nasa harapan para sa storytelling namin.

"Ares. Sumama ka na sa mga Highest." Utos ko sa kanya.

Ngumiti sya sa akin. "You don't know how happy I am. You finally called me by that name again."

Uminit ang buong mukha ko. "Go, Ares." Sabi ko at bahagyang tinulak ulit sya ngunit mas lalo nyang hinawakan ang aking kamay.

"No, My. I know you're scared. Telling your secret story is like a nightmare, fearing that no one will understand your story. So, I'll be here. If this is like a nightmare to you, I'll be here to protect you, no one will touch you, My..."

Namula na naman ako.

"Only I can. You're mine, My. And mine only."

Nablanko ang isipan ko pagkatapos ng sinabi nya. Feeling ko pati mga higante naglalaro na sa loob ng tiyan ko. This is so overwhelming. Damn you, Ares. Damn you for letting me feel this way. Damn you!

"Now, go tell your story. Don't be afraid, I'm always here to protect you..." bulong nya sa akin. Nagsitayuan ang mga balahibo ko at walang magawa kundi tumango. Again, I don't have enough strength to talk.

Damn you, Ares! You're making me weak! This bad... this is so bad...

Napalunok na lang ako at tumingin kina Kevin at Airkan na nasa gilid ko. Tumango naman si Airkan. Lumunok sya bago magsalita.

"So... it all started in here. In Sheya Academy..." pagkwento ni Airkan. Nanginig ang mga kamay ko, we're breaking our parent's rule! This is bad... this is so bad!

Nanlaki ang mga mata ko at natigilan ng may naramdaman akong mainit na bagay sa aking kamay. Napatingin ako doon. Lalong lumaki ang mga mata ko ng makitang ang kamay ni Ares na nakadikit na sa aking kamay.

He smiled at me. "Don't be afraid, My. I'm here... I'm always here..." he said before intertwining both of our hands.

"My mother's lolo owned this academy. Literally owned, he's the one who build this academy. Then, our father is one of the Highest too. He's the King actually." Bumaling si Airkan sa aming dalawa ni Ares.

"Since our mom's lolo owned this school, many boys tried to gain her love for money, power, and such. Our Mom used to be a snobbera." He chuckled. "Until he met our father..."

"Our mom don't like to go out. She's always locked up inside of her room, reading books."

"But when she met our father, I dunno, a miracle happened? Kidding."
