"Mrs. Lewis," I said. Karen and her mother walked in, and sat down. Of course, Karen and I hugged.
"Hello Toni." Mrs. Lewis said.
"Now, I bought you two ladies together, for the sake of my godson and nephew. I love you three dearly, but this can't go on. Toni, what do you have to say, to my mom." Karen said.
"Mrs. Lewis, it hurt me that you didn't show up to my wedding. I'd never thought of manipulating Keri, ever. He was my best friend, my husband, and a soon to be father. I'm still taking this all in, day by day." I said. I felt Karen rub my back in slow motion.
"Toni, I love my children. Keri was my only son, and he was my everything. Losing and burying a child is devastating. I wouldn't want to wish that on my worst enemy. I'm sorry for disrespecting you and my grandson." Mrs. Lewis explained. I finally can be happy.
