She doesn't like what she sees in the mirror anymore
She spends hours in the morning, dressing in front of her drawer
Trying to find something that makes her look better
She hides her body with a simple sweater
Trying to meet society's high expectations
Hoping she follows all their harsh regulations
She longs to have the freedom she once had
She doesn't want to follow each trendy fad
But she's afraid of them and their nasty thoughts
Their judging stares makes her stomach twist into knots
She wants to fit in, wishes she could be skinny
Wishes her waist was tiny and mini
She's so hungry, yet she doesn't eat
Just pushes her food around with her fork, and shifts in her seat
She's been starving herself for days
Hoping the pounds will drop in a haze
She weighs herself each night before she goes to bed
Inside she feels so dead
She so badly envies the other girls
Her jealousy drags her downo, twisting inside her like swirls
She hates herself now
Losing hope and skipping the chow
"Lose weight" they say
Cut down on food and excersise, you can change the amount you weigh
It's not as easy as that
They don't know about her constant struggle with her and her fat
