But the truth I already knew was there hits me hard

Leaving me un-defended without a guard

Stabbing a paper plate with a plastic fork

Feeling like a nerd; a stupid little dork

Set everything up, and now you're not here beside me

Feeling like this cheap plastic cutlery

Meant to be one-use only

Batman's not the only one feeling lonely

Used then discarded so easily
