She passes a window of a house
Where a lady is eating dinner with her children and her spouse
A steaming, delectable meal sitting on the table
The flat screen TV set on cable
All of the family, so rosy and plump
Their lovely house far from a dump
She looks at their happy smiles and their expensive belongings
As her empty soul filled with irrepressible cravings and longings
She looks at each of their beautiful faces, taking her time
The mirror-like window showing her own face dirty and crusty with grime
She's tired and wants to go home; she's done
But then she realizes she doesn't have one
Her body takes control and a punch is delivered
The cold wind whistled as she shivered
Her fist reminiscing the embrace shared with the shard of glass
And there she sits alone bleeding on the grass
