Angelica's Pov:
{] Only mostly accurate. I have it set where Angelica finds out before Eliza, while Eliza and Philip traveled upstate when the pamphlet was published. Here we go. [}
Angelica held the pamphlet in her hand and closed her eyes tightly. " I told him to go on a break! I told him that he needed to get away! Why didn't he listen?!" Down the hallway she could hear her sister emerge from a room in under confusion. "Come here Eliza, you need to read this." She said with a small glare.
"Angelica? What is it?" Eliza walked down the hallway, with her son Philip following behind her. Seeing Philip and how much he looked like his father fed a gas to her fire.
"You need to read how stupid he is." She said handing her sister the pamphlet.
"Angelica I-" Eliza took the pamphlet still looking confused.
"You have married an Icarus, he has flown to close to the sun." She said and turned walking to the window staring out of it. It seemed like a long time had passed before she heard the sound she expected, but didn't want to hear at all.
Eliza had let out a cry and held the papers tightly in her hands shaking her head. "No...No no no." She repeated as tears rolled down her cheeks.
Angelica turned and walked to her sister. She wrapped her arms around her to comfort her. "You needed to know. I had to be the one to show you. He published it... It's everywhere.. Everyone knows Eliza.."
Angelica felt like her words were harsh. She hadn't meant for them to come off that way, but she couldn't help it. She wasn't good with these sorts of things. Here she was though.
'' What is it Aunt Angelica..?" Angelica looked down at her nephew who had the most confused face he could. The boy was 15. How could she tell him. But, she had to say something. She couldn't just leave him clueless. She knew that Eliza wasn't going to be able to respond.
Angelica let go of her sister and led Philip over to the living room. She sat down beside him on the couch. She took a deep breath. "Your father has done something very stupid, and he decided to share it with the entire world."
"What is it?" Philip asked his brows furrowed together in confusion.
"Well..." She didn't know how else to put it. So she decided that she couldn't sugar coat this. This needed to be bluntly said. "He let another girl into your mother's bed. He let her in for awhile. Especially while you guys were away here."
Philip's eyes widened. "What? Why would he do that?" Philip asked, his face beginning to grow red. He stood up. "That's unfair! Didn't he wonder what would happen to us?! How we would feel?! How mom would feel?!" He ran his fingers through his hair.
Angelica felt a pang of guilt. It effected both her sister and now her nephew. She stood up and tried to keep her composure clean. "Philip, he didn't think when he did it. But right now, you need to think, what does you mother need right now..?"
"She needs a strong family to stand beside her through this hard time.'' He replied looking up at his aunt. He then took a deep breath. "If you excuse me, I need to go see my mother." Angelica dipped her head. She watched as he walked from the room. Angelica let out a small sigh and shook her head.
"Alexander, why couldn't you just be satisfied..?"
{] And bam! There you are. A little big of angst for the soul. Thank you for reading. Have a wonderful day! See you in the next one! [}
